Fly away: When the skimboarder launches off the end of the skimboard.

Frontside: When the skimboarder is facing the ocean.

Grom: A young skimboarder or surfer, about 7 to 15 years old.

Speed Run: When the rider turns off of the wave onto the sand. You may even be able to go all the way to dry sand.

Widdly: A skimboarding move in which the skimboarder does a flip straight off the wave while holding the skimboard under foot.

Wrap
