| Treasure Isle |
| Getting There Treasure Isle is located on the northeastern edge of the world map. It is an island surrounded by rock reefs. You can get there immediately when you acquire your ship, but it is recommended that you go atleast after acquiring Grind in Lemuria, because without Grind, you will not be able to access the island's treasures and boss. Also, even with Grind you need to have Isaac in your party to access the deeper rooms and the boss room, because you will need Lift. Good items to acquire Treasure Isle is a really good place to get certain items which should be very useful for you. These items include the Iris Robe : DEF +47, Luck +15, PP recovery +12 and Fire Power +10, a must for Jenna! Also, you can get the Jester's Armlet: DEF +39, Max PP +30 and Flame Brand: ATK +176, unleashes Purgatory. On top of that many useful treasures can be found here, like a cookie and power bread. Treasure Isle When you enter Treasure Isle, head to northernmost door and don't waste your time with the others as they just contain empty chests. Once you're in the room with the water, jump across the blocks in the water to a button which you press automatically upon landing. The pillar should rise. Do not Grind it as this will sink it down! (Note: You can always make it resurface by pressing on the button. Anyways, you won't be able to get the 6 chests in the upper part now, you'll have to enter from another room, so for now just jump across the block path at the right of the red button and head out the door. Once in this room, jump across the blocks to the other part of land. Don't climb up now, instead head right and circle around the rock formation until you get to a sunken pillar. Jump across the blocks. Now, don't push the pillar on the button, instead push it one square directly down from the button. Then head back across the blocks, and go one square under the pillar that you just pushed. Now use Move on it to push it on the button. The pillar should now rise and you should be able to cross. Go back to the steps, climb them, cross the rope and head out the door. In the next room, you will once again encounter a red button which you must press. When the 3 pillars rise, use Grind on the right one and jump across the blocks. Climb the steps and cross the rope, then jump across the two pilllars to reach the treasure chest containing a Jester's Armlet. Then head back, and go left until you reach a movable pillar, move it on the circle and follow on to the doorway. This room is pretty simple, first head left, down, left, up, left and up to a Treasure Chest that contains a Mimic that drops a Power Bread. After killing him, head down unto another doorway. You will be back in the room where you first pressed a red button, but this time through another way. Jump across the blocks and move the pillar on the circle. Now remember earlier when I said not to Grind the pillar? Good, because now it should serve you. Jump across the blocks, climb the steps, jump on the pillar and climb down to reach 6 chests each containing minor items (one of them is a cookie). Now head back to the way by which you came in. In the room where you fought the Mimic, head north through the doorway. This room is very simlar to the last, just head south, and left until you reach a boulder. Use Lift on it and continue. You can't move the pillar away from this entrance so ignore it for now. Head left and collect the great Iris Robe from the Treasure Chest! Now circle around by going south and use Lift on another boulder and head through the doorway. This room contains a Jupiter djinni Gale. To get him, use Lift on the leftmost boulder, then head to the rightmost boulder and use Lift on it, then jump across the pit to the left section. Climb up the steps jump across the gap, jump on the rope then off of it to the left, jump across another gap, and cross the rope. You will now be able to reach the djinni which you must fight to obtain. Now jump get back on the platform where climbed up using steps. From there, on top, jump right and cross the rope to reach a chest bearing the Flame Brand. Now get back to the platform where you got the djinni and cross right until you reach the platform where you got the Flame Brand, but now climb down the steps since you'll be under the rock line. If you want, you can head south to push the pillar, but it's pretty much useless except for the exit. The next room has nothing special. Basically just follow the right path to the exit. Now save before advancing in this room as this is where you'll fight the boss, Star Magician! Star Magician This guy isn't too much of a problem himself, but his balls can be frustrating. He has 4 balls: The Anger Ball (Has high attack and can kamikaze himself to hurt your party for some damage), The Refresh Ball (He can use Earnest Ply to restore 1000HP to Star Magician), The Guardian Ball (He can use a flash rip-off move to almost nullify the damage dealt to Star Magician) and Thunder Ball (He can cast mid-level wind attacks) The Star Magician attacks twice per turn and can summon balls if you kill them. His weakness is fire and resists water. The best way to kill him is to kill his balls until he regenerates them all into Thunder Balls, which are in my opinion, the less harmful. Once you've done that, just keep attacking the Magician until he dies, and behold! You shall be granted the ability to summon Azul! Miscellanous Ocean Dragons drop Triton's Ward and Gillman Lords drop Tear Stones. |
