A while ago, the freedom fighters found an ancient Mobian trapped in ice.
They named the creature Mobie, brought him back to Knothole, and revived him.
Mobie did not understand this world and began to attack everyone. The
freedom fighters soon discovered that Mobie was an artist and used art to
communicate to Mobie. Later, they found him a home in the Mobian Jungle.
Part I:
Uncle Chuck watches as Snively tries to convince Robotnik to invade the
jungle. Robotnik cringes at the thought; so Snively says that the Eco-destroyer
will make sure Robotnik will not have to enter the jungle. Later, Uncle
Chuck explains Snively's plan to the freedom fighters. Sally orders
everyone to split into teams of two while she figures out how to stop the
Eco-destroyer. Sonic runs ahead and later meets up with Rotor.
Rotor stops to study narcolyptus berries, which causes sleepiness. Sonic
tells Rotor that he should have told him before he ate the berries and then
lies down to take a nap. Suddenly, gorillas surround Sonic and Rotor
and capture them.
Hours later, Sonic tries to warn the gorillas of Eco-destroyer. The
gorillas doubt that their camp will be found and explain that Rotor will stay
at the camp to fix food and create weapons. Sonic says he knows where some
weapons are, and he will give them to the gorillas if they free Rotor and
himself. The gorillas agree, and Sonic slowly walks away with a wheelbarrow.
Once he is out of sight, Sonic quickly runs into the supply hut of the gorillas
and fills his wheelbarrow with their weapons. Sonic returns with a
full wheelbarrow and the gorillas are overjoyed. Suddenly, a gorilla
appears from the wheelbarrow. Shortly afterwards, Sonic and Rotor are
shackled to palm trees. A group of scared gorillas run toward Sonic and Rotor
as Snively approaches in the Eco-destroyer.
Part II:
Snively is excited he captured Sonic, who explains that the gorillas caught
him. Swatbots watch over Sonic as Snively returns to notify Robotnik.
Bunnie, Tails, and Mobie appear from the shadows and destroy the swatbots.
Sonic greets the small group. Rotor interrupts them to say they need
the gorillas to help them. Bunnie points out that they won't help since
they are all asleep. Rotor explains that earlier he put narcolyptus berries
in the stew so they could escape. Mobie frees Sonic from his shackles,
allowing Sonic to stop the Eco-destroyer. Sonic says he only needs half
a minute to do some damage to the machine. Tails flies up to distract
Snively as Sonic loosens bolts and screws. Snively tries shooting at
Tails as he dodges each blast. When the thirty seconds are up, Tails
leaves, and Robotnik boards the Eco-destroyer. After Robotnik is inside,
the machine collapses. That evening, the gorillas thank Sonic for his
help. Sonic tells the gorillas to tell Mobie goodbye for them in a few
days. Mobie sleeps in a pot after eating half of the stew.

Knuckles has lost control of his body to the enchantress,
but he still has control over his mind. Knuckles recalls how his quest started
with Tails as they heard a message from the Ancient Walkers (in Sonic the Hedgehog #42). Using his
knowledge of the Book of Myths, Knuckles ended up fighting a charlatan's imaginary
monsters (in the Sonic Live! special).
Knuckles was later side-tracked when he helped Sonic fight Evil Sonic and Robotnik
(in Sonic #44). Afterwards, Knuckles returned
to ask the Chaotix for help to start his quest again. Knuckles determined
that the Land of Dark was an old name for the outskirts of the Floating Island's
Forbidden Zone. When Knuckles arrived, he was attacked by the sorcerer
and enchantress. While Knuckles dodged the sorcerer’s blasts, the
enchantress was able to control Knuckles.
Knuckles continues to be the servant of the enchantress. He remembers that
the sorcerer stands alone, so Knuckles assumes that the sorcerer isn't with the
other mystics. Knuckles also assumes that the enchantress is weak.
Continuing to remember the Ancient Walkers' words, Knuckles realizes that he has
already faced the charlatan, he is currently facing the enchantress, but he does
not see the paladin. He realizes that he must be patient, so he continues
to perform tasks under the control of the enchantress. Then, one day, a
wall crumbles and Sir Connery,
the Mighty Crusader, appears. His sword glows, breaking the concentration
of the enchantress. Knuckles is freed, and he attacks the sorcerer.
The sorcerer shoots lightning at Knuckles, who grabs a tablecloth and folds it
to carry the sorcerer's talisman. With a sleight of hand, Knuckles makes
the items disappear. The sorcerer is shocked, which allows Knuckles enough
time to attack. Later, Sir Connery explains that he used to be in King Acorn's
royal guard until he was called to purge black magic. His sword is not King
Acorn's sword, but was given to him by the Ancient Walkers. Knuckles asks
for Sir Connery to join him, but he declines in order to continue his crusade.
As Sir Connery leaves, he tells Knuckles to find evil Mathias Poe and Damocles
the Elder, who are not inside the chaos-filled cavern, but in the other chaos-filled
caverns. Knuckles swears that whatever it takes he will find the sword.
