Part I:
The freedom fighters are preparing for a wedding--Sonic and Sally's wedding.  Bunnie helps Sally with her wedding dress, and Sally says that she wants everyone to see her at her best tomorrow.  Moto Bug observes the scene and rushes to Robotropolis to tell Dr. Robotnik the news.  When Robotnik hears that Moto Bug has important information, he ignores it until Crabmeat begs him to read it.  After he reads it, Robotnik does not believe it.  Crabmeat shows Robotnik the cover of the newspaper which says that Sonic and Sally are tying the knot.  In order to confirm the news, Robotnik sends Bat Brain to investigate.  Back in Knothole, Sally says that she's not backing out now.  Sonic says that maybe he's getting a case of cold feet, but he will still be there to say "I do."  A shadow is cast on the ground, and the freedom fighters discover Bat Brain, who flies away.  Back in Robotropolis, Robotnik declares war on the freedom fighters.  The robots will destroy the wedding and the freedom fighters.

Part II:
The wedding is almost over, and Willis (a penguin) gives the line that if anyone should know why Sally and Sonic should not be joined together to speak now or forever hold their peace.  A storm of robots crash the wedding, firing lasers.  As Robotnik flies toward the old barn (the site of the wedding), Sonic begins to destroy the robots that are inside.  Sonic picks up Sally and brings her outside, but Snively blocks the way.  After rushing back inside, Sonic rescues Antoine from swatbots.  Robotnik enters the barn, and Sally cuts a rope so that the curtain falls on him.  Applause echoes around the barn, and Sonic explains that Robotnik has just crashed the play entitled "Our Wedding."  The next day, Antoine reads the newspaper that calls their play a hit.  Although it was the first and last performance, Sally tells Sonic that the barn would be a perfect place for their wedding.  Sonic runs away, and says that he's a great catch so Sally will have to catch him first.

(Continued from Sonic the Hedgehog #17)

Rotor cannot figure out how to access what is inside the orb.  As the freedom fighters watch, Rosie comes to give Sally some news.  Sally rushes away and goes to Julayla's room.  Julayla lays in a bed and begins to reminisce her past as Sally's teacher.  The one lesson that Sally never learned was how to snatch an acorn from Julayla's hand.  Julayla holds out the acorn, and Sally hits the back of Julayla's hand with her knee.  After Sally snatches the acorn, Julayla praises Sally's solution and tells her farewell.

Sally sits alone outside, and Sonic asks her if everything is alright.  Sally says that she feels lonely tonight, and Sonic tells her that tonight is almost yesterday;  there are many tomorrows ahead.
