"The Quest"
(Princess Sally's Crusade: Conclusion)
Sonic and Sally are training, but Sonic almost hurts Sally because
she's not paying attention. Sally explains that a lot has been going
on, such as an orb falling out of the sky (see Sonic the Hedgehog #17)
and Julayla's death (issue
#18). Rosie appears and shows Sally Julayla's things. Sally
finds Julayla's hope chest, which would be given to Sally on her wedding
day. Sally finds a blue vest, a picture of her father, and a map
with instructions. Overcome by everything, Sally decides to continue
tomorrow.
Later that night, Sally finds herself walking from her bed to the
location of the glowing orb. The light grows bigger, and a handheld
computer appears. The voice says that her name is Nicole and she
would be Sally's friend if Sally chose so. The freedom fighters rush
inside the room and ask Sally if she is okay. Sonic picks up Nicole
and shakes her. Nicole electrocutes Sonic. After Sally scolds
Nicole, Sonic says to get rid of Nicole. Sally responds that Nicole
will stay since everyone needs a friend.
The next day Sally prepared to leave at sunset. Julayla had
written that all Sally needed would be found in the Forbidden Zone.
Sally takes Nicole and plans on leaving by herself. When she steps
outside, Sally sees the freedom fighters waiting by a plane. Sally
tries to tell them to stay, but they tell Sally that they want to go.
Rotor flies the plane and the rest of the freedom fighters parachute to
the ground. Sally shoots paint balls at the swatbots patrolling the
area, and Sonic creates a distraction while the freedom fighters rush into
the Forbidden Zone. They scale a wall and find themselves faced with
a robot that looks like a cyclops. Sonic tries to fight it, but he
is thrown backwards. Sally says she knows who can help.

Nicole tells Sally that the robot detects motion, so Sonic has everybody
do what he is doing: nothing. The robot shuts down and the
freedom fighters sneak by. As they walk through a cave, the air gets
warmer. Soon they are faced with a fire-breathing griffin. Since
Tails is the only one that can fly, he rushes into the air. The griffin
hits Tails with its tail. When Tails gets up, he sees a sword.
The plaque said that if the sword is removed, the beast will be bested.
Tails takes a chance and pulls out the sword with all of his strength.
The griffin falls to the ground.
The freedom fighters continue walking and reach Polysaurus Rex, a
biomechanical creature that contradicts itself. Polysaurus Rex says
only one question can be asked, so Sally asks one head which door the other
would say leads to the end of the quest. The head on the left replies
that the other would say to take the door on the left. Sally decides
that they should take the door on the right. She tries explaining
her reasoning to Sonic, but he is still confused. Sally opens the
door, and they are at the end of the quest. A pedastal holds a miniature
version of the hope chest. Sally opens the box.
Sonic & Knuckles pull-out poster
There is a scroll inside the box, and Sally starts to read it.
Sally recalls that she didn't understand the scroll, but she does understand
it today. Two decades have passed and the war against Robotnik was
won. Sonic and Sally live happily with their children and Sally's
father. Rotor finished rebuilding Nicole, and Sally holds the computer
in her hands. Nicole was sent away by using the Trans-time Portal.
Sally realized that Nicole was a gift to herself and a friend when she
really needed one.
This may be just one of the many possible futures of the freedom fighters.

"The Mirror Zone" - 2 pages
In order to read what Sonic and Tails say while in the mirror zone,
you must hold the comic up to a mirror.
Sonic and Tails chase a swatbot into the Mirror Zone. Tails
grabs a Mecha-Message Unit, and Sonic hits the swatbot. When the
two leave the zone, Sonic and Tails can't read the message since it's
in code. Rotor explains to the reader that you can figure out what
it says by holding it up to a mirror. The message is from Robotnik
and says that Sonic will never defeat him.

Sonic-Grams highlights:
~ Sally is about 15 years old
~ "?!" is used when somebody asks a question and is excited
or somebody asks a rhetorical question
~ Sonic refuses to hook anybody up with Robotnik (even though
somebody wrote and said she was available)
"Tails' Tallest Tale"
Tails walks through a forest, trying to make his way to a local Sonic
fan club convention. He eventually arrives, and Sheldon, the president,
welcomes Tails. Sheldon introduces Tails to Posey, who is called the
"resident Sonic expert." Posey is happy to meet Tails and then pulls
him to the front to make a speech. Tails realized he forgot to prepare
a speech, so he makes up a story about him battling Toadzilla. At
the end, Tails realizes that everyone is looking out a window. Robotnik
says he'll roboticize everyone. Posey pushes Tails out the door and
says that based on his speech, Tails should have no problem. Tails
flies up to Robotnik but Robotnik uses a robot's hand to hit Tails.
Posey stands up to Robotnik, so Tails flies up to Robotnik. This time
he lets his body spin while his tails stay in one place. Robotnik
gets dizzy and the robot crashes. Posey gives Tails a kiss and Tails
says he has to explain something about his speech.
