Since I like to exaggerate a lot on things, I decided to make a really long version of my vacation and I decided to make each day a separate page because there is so much to talk about! I was even surprised at how much I got out of this, it's really amazing what you can think of when you are just writing down everything. Well enjoy and I won't be disappointed if you only get through a couple days because it is really long!
So Sunday morning I was awoken by thundering footsteps on the stairs in the cabin next to us. Then Grandma woke up around 9 and started talking with Dee and I was stirred from my resting state by their whispering voices. So I crawled off the couch around 9:15 and folded the blankets up and everything. I rummaged through the cabinets and found nothing to eat so I settled for a couple pieces of banana bread and then dressed myself for the day. I peered out the window to see if anyone was awake in Emily and Nicole's cabins. Emily and Nicole were walking around so I decided to venture outside and hang out with them. Steph was still sleeping and she didn't end up waking up until close to noon. I don't remember what I did in the morning really, I might have swung on the swings a little more. Around 1, Steph, Nick and my dad went out fishing and I stayed back and hung out with Emily and Nicole. Sometime around 2, they came back and we decided to go to Moondance Ranch. We bought ten tickets and each raced twice then we decided to leave. My dad then took us to Benson's, a bar and grill in Walker, and we had pizza and watched the NASCAR race on TV. Steph and I were going over all the drivers we knew and their sponsors and stuff, it was quite fun, we memorized a lot of them.
We left Benson's when there was about 15 or 20 laps left of the race and headed over to the gas station. My dad parked and went inside and came back out with a plastic bowl of leeches. Then we headed back to Happiness Resort. We got back around three and soon afterwards, Ron and Jeannie showed up for their stay. They unpacked and then decided to go for a short run. Then my dad and I decided to go fishing. We went over to the place where I got bit by two horseflies and my foot swelled up for the whole week. I was like this place again?! I was giving my dad a hard time though and I caught several fish. I felt bad for catching all of them because every time I caught one my dad had to reel his line in to take the fish off. I just wasn't in that let's take the fish off the hook mood or something. I tried but it just wasn't in me. So finally I stopped fishing and on the last cast out for my dad, he caught a walleye. Not a big one but it was nice that he actually caught a fish finally. One of my fish that I caught, I caught by the heart or something because it bled to death. When we got back, my dad was like, "Don't tell Jeannie you caught any fish and don't tell her about accidentally killing that one fish." So I went back up to the cabin and I told Jeannie, Ron and Grandma that I didn't catch any fish but then I told Nick about catching like seven or eight fish.
I don't really remember what happened after that if anything, up until the fire that night. I probably swung some more. I swung on the swing set every day for at least an hour. So Sunday nights fire was just as eventful with more stories. Why is it that fires bring out the stories in people? Sunday night, I was the one that was listening to music. For some reason Matt felt that this would mean I would be less talkative because I was listening to music instead. Of course, that wasn't true. I was listening to my Aerosmith Oh Yeah Favorites burned CD this time. Steph listened to it for awhile then decided to grab my Tim McGraw CD and listen to that. Emily and Nicole had to go in at 12 but didn't leave until 12:15 or so and then Nick decided to go in around 12:30 so it was just me, Matt and Steph left. We continued to talk and Matt told us more stories about his parties with his friends and bonfires and such. Around one, we decided to head in so we poured water over the fire and headed back to our cabins. We fell asleep around 1:30 and I think I woke up around 10 Monday morning.
