Texas Wildlife Trail Series

Placed By: Silver Eagle

Texas was the first state in the nation to create birding and wildlife viewing trails, an idea that resulted in similar projects throughout North America. These trails provide economic incentives for landowners and communities to conserve habitats while providing recreational opportunities for the traveling public. The Great Texas Wildlife Trails includes the Great Texas Coastal Birding Trail, which is another of my series, along with several wildlife trails: the Heart Of Texas, the Panhandle Plains and the Prairies & Pineywoods. This letterbox series will show you the wilder side of Texas and provide a diverse set of stamps, too, so grab your camera and binoculars and get started!
