The Texas State Railroad State Park is known as one of the nation's largest and most unique steam train operations. Passengers may board the historic trains at either Rusk or Palestine and both ends of the line have turn-of-the-century style train stations that are part of the Rusk/Palestine State Parks. The 50-mile, round-trip steam engine excursions take 4 hours and run from March to November. The train goes through I.D. Fairchild State Forest, which is part of the Texas State Railroad Loop described on the Prairies & Pineywoods Wildlife Trail - East map, and where this microbox is located. My first two Texas RR boxes went missing, so this one has been relocated with a new stamp and can be considered a new box.
NOTE: Always take adequate precautions (such as prodding with a stick and/or wearing gloves) before reaching into dark crevasses and holes in the wild. Before you set out read the waiver of responsibility and disclaimer.
