Geeks is one of my oldest friends around.
I have known him for almost 9 years (and I'm still alive thank god)
and he is also one of few good friends that influnced me the most.
When I just know him he seem to be quite distanced, rarely talks (you
can say 10 sentences and be surprised to get more then 1 in reply) and
snobby (that means he is quite annoying and yes I know I'm annoying
too but that is then, but he is still annoying), after I get to know
him better I find out that it is not that he is snooby but because this
is him this is Geek.
One of Geek's most outstanding skill is his ability to ignore embarresment
or "hou lian pi" (Thick-skinned) and able to do things that
will make most of us ashamed or stop us before we do it. (Don't try
denying it ok its the true nothing , but the truth) I still remember
long ago there is a soccer match in the middle of the field and when
this guy wanted to cross over to the other side, instead of walking
around he walked straight throught the middle of it. Imagine it, people
are having a match there and he just walk through it, and don't even
mention the audience.
Another thing to take note about him is his "anti-socialness".
Well most of you may think that anti-social people would have a hard
time finding girlfriend or female friends, but your wrong here because
due to an unknown reason he is able to use his nicely mix of "anti-socialness"
and "heck-care-ness" he has managed to attract alot of girls
around him. (heh heh we got plenty of withnesses and evidence around.)
The reason is his a very "good guy" (not to me) and he had
also been voted most eligible husband by his class at poly (Note: husband
not boyfriend).
This guy is a funny guy there are times when he just simply zone out.
It means you talk to him and he don't understand you. Well you may wonder
why is this so funny when it happens to many people. First when he zone
out you can talk to him and he just don't know you are talking to him,
even when your looking at him directly and his looking back at you.
Second when he at last noticed you and you think his back on Earth he
will tell you he don't understand what your talking about and even after
many repitive explainations he will still be clueless about what your
talking about. This has led to many an occasion of blood vomitting by
me.
You must think he must have alot of girlfriends, well theres a catch
there. This guy got a certain thinking or maybe a principle that its,
his girlfriend must be his future wife and must GIVE BIRTH to his babies
before he will be commited........................ Ok close your mouth
or some insects will fly inside it and Geek you too no point arguing
cause I know best. My first reaction is not really that big but rather
of disbelief, but as Geek is Geek there is no point counseling or advicing
him so his still single. (P.S any girls intereseted may contact me)
This guy being a anti-social himself does not help with his bachelor
status. I recall back in Sec 1 with the exception of saying hi (not
so incidentally this guy is in front of me on the first day) he is pretty
quiet. Only recently have I known the full reason for his anti-socialness.
The thing that he affected me must be his attitude, in the past (before
sec school days) I'm quite a different person from now, but Geek managed
to influcence me to look at the world in a different way - We live the
way we want. Yes these 6 words can sum it all up. In the past I always
feared how will other people look at me or react to the things I do,
but all that but now all of this has changed, unless it is a special
condition (e.g job interview) I won't care more about my looks, though
I still do my best in presenting a smart and tidy look.
One last thing to say about him is, his the type of person that once
you know him you will LEARN to accept him, but if you don't him you
may be baffled how can this kind of person exists. |
