Hole I Own On This Planet

Everyone of us has a place that they consider important to them, it maybe his/her room at home or the first date with his/her partner. But there is always one thing that always stays the same that is the feeling one feels when they go to these places.

Places of Importance

Location: Melbourne, Unit W4 Rooms International, Above a Fire Station
Status: Still Around, Current

Description:
Located above a fire station in Carlton in Melbourne is my new hovel, with a good view of the city on my "balcony" and custom designed furniture placement this is my new home for the next few years in Melbourne. Only a short 5 - 10 minutes walk from my uni and 5 - 15 minutes walk to the city this room is one of the best. The price is reasonable and even has a cleaner that clean the common areas weekly, the bad thing is you needed to share it with other people but my room mates are one of the few best around thus no complains on that.

Compared to the room in Bukit Batok this is heaven, cool at night and day no direct sunlight and quiet because it is isolated from other rooms. The best thing about this room is its "balcony" which is not standard but a ledge outside my window where I will sometimes climbed out to look at the city and at the stars. Here you can see alot of stars (compared to Singapore) even when the city's lights are shinning below you.

Living above the fire station is not as bad as it seems, every time they left with their sirens I will say a silent prayers for them and the people they are going to save. Their sirens does not really affect me much, more like a short break during my gaming, studying or reading. I also jokingly said to my friends if there is any problem here we will have paramedics and fireman in our rooms within 5 - 10 minutes.

All in all a nice hole to stay in for the rest of my uni life.

Location: Ngee Ann Polytechnic, Blk 31 Level 6 Balcony
Status: Still Around, In the Past.

Description:
Six storeys above the ground, behind around the corner from the back staircase and a bit off the "official" smoking area in ITCS block is a small balcony and this balcony is a haven for me. Though the view there is nothing spectacular (no girls, no beautiful scenery and quite noisy) but it is a special place to me. When I am really stressed out by doing FYP continuously for several hours or when I am faced with a problem I will go there and think and chill out. At first I found the cars cruising along PIE is really noisy and shatter the piece, but after a while I realise that this noise becomes something like a medium to let me enter a "trance" where I can just stay dazed to relax or focus on my problem trying to find a solution.
Location: My former bedroom in Malaysia
Status: Still Around, In the Past

Description:
My former bedroom is a nice little location that is at the back of my Malaysia house. The thing I like most above the place is its view and comfort of my bed. Lying on my bed I could forget everything and anything and truly relax myself. Although my room is small and its view is quite limited after being blocked by my neighbour's house behind, I can still see plenty of stars at night when theres no cloud and the bright blue sky in the day. There is one view I will never forget. One Saturday I woke up on my bed and look up into a rolling pitch black sky. The clouds are rushing by at a very fast speed and the whole place is dark as hell, just looking at the clouds you can really put everything behind you, that day I spent nearly an hour lying there and just watching the clouds.

If you look hard enough you will notice a guy in the background. (I assure you 'The One' is very alive).
