Jetset Japan: unofficial JET site with information, stories and deals for JETs.  Useful stuff includes how to get medical treatment should you need it, the deal with driving licences and banking.  Also good for finding cheap ways to get out of Japan.

Driving Licences: need to change your driving licence?  Here's what you need.  If you're having trouble getting your supervisor to understand, here's the same information in Japanese.  (I think).  If you want to read it, here's what I said at Zao about driving and owning a car in Japan.  It's only a rough guide, but might be helpful.
