Welcome!  Below are surnames originating in the Scotland, Northern Ireland, Sweden and the Czech Republic.  On the left, you will find links to these regions that I have found useful in my research.

By ancestry, I am a "hybrid" -  half Scottish and half Swedish.  My father was born in Scotland and my mother is 1st generation Swedish-American  so almost all of my research is overseas.   I married a full-blooded Czech-American whose ancestors came from Bohemia in what is now the Czech Republic, and moved to Iowa.  It makes for an interesting mix of family history.

Please, take a minute to sign my guestbook at the bottom of the page if we share a surname!   View my most recent projects by visiting the Odebolt History Pages, which my sister and I have taken on, and my hometown Odebolt, Iowa.  If you would like to see events of the Scottish club I belong to, visit HAGGIS  (Hawkeye Area Grand Gaelic Isles Society).  And if you love flowers, please check out Barbara's Gardens!
