The String Orchestra at Sequoyah is in it's 5th year and has grown in numbers and ability.
The string class is offered once per day and is scheduled during a lunch period to accommodate both students who take it for credit and for those students who cannot fit it into their class schedule but want to maintain their ability.
The school has a small inventory of school-owned instruments, violins, violas, cellos and string bass, that can be checked out for use at school and home. Everyone is encouraged to provide their own instrument but it is not a requirement.
The String Orchestra participates in 3 concerts per year, travels with the instrumental music program on performance trips and the highlight of the school year culminates in the county-wide honors concert hosted by Woodstock High School.
