The instrumental ensembles at SHS have traveled extensively throughout the eastern United States including, Georgia, Florida, Alabama, Virginia, Washington, D.C. and New York.
The marching and concert bands have participated in the Hall of Fame Bowl (1992) and the Outback Bowl (1999), the Savannah St. Patrick's Day Parade (1997, 2000) and the Egelston's Childrens Christmas Parade (now the Children's Healthcare Parade of Georgia) in 1993, 1994, 1998, 1999. We have also performed in Nassua, the Bahamas at the invitation of the Bahamian government (1994, 1998).
We were invited to perform at the 'Easter in Maastricht" festival in Maastricht, Netherlands for 2001 but were unable to participate.
We have a tentative trip planned for April 2001 to Toronto, Canada that will include performances by the marching band, concert bands and string orchestra in the "Festival of Music" hosted by the City of Toronto.
