Order of the Divine Feminine

We are an Order worshipping the Goddess as the source of all Life. As the Goddess chooses the Feminine as her creative aspect, we worship the Divine Feminine in all Her forms.

Core Beliefs

  1. All Life springs from the Goddess
  2. The Goddess gives us Life so that we may know Her Love and Her Power
  3. As the Goddess creates Life, so does She destroy it
  4. For all that is creative, the Goddess chooses the Feminine aspect
  5. For all that is destructive, the Goddess chooses the Masculine aspect
  6. All Life is balance between the Feminine and the Masculine
  7. The Goddess gives us Woman as a sacred Vessel of Her Love and Her Power
  8. The Goddess gives us Man as Woman's consort and faithful steward of Her Power
  9. The Goddess expects us to know Her Love and Her Power, and to share that knowledge with others
  10. Aspects of the Goddess' Love include: Love (emotional and sexual), Nature, Beauty, Compassion, Joy, Empathy, Kindness, Happiness, Pleasure
  11. Aspects of the Goddess' Power include: Action, Will, Drive, Direction, Purpose, Attraction, Passion
  12. The better we know the Goddess' Love and Power, the more we can use Her Love and Her Power to affect our lives and the lives of those around us for the better
  13. We raise Energy to affect our lives by drawing forth Her Love and Her Power with those closest to us

How We Worship

  1. Each day we dedicate ourselves to worship the Goddess by honoring her sacred Vessels, and seeking out, feeling, and sharing Her Love and Her Power
  2. Through our daily practice we strive for greater understanding of the depths of Her Love and Her Power so that we may more effectively use Her Love and Her Power to affect our lives and the lives of those around us for the better
  3. We honor our bodies as sacred Vessels of the Goddess and strive to keep them fit and healthy
  4. We raise Energy whenever we see a need for greater Love and Power in our lives or in the lives of those around us, or when we need to adjust the balance between Feminine and Masculine

On the Feminine and the Masculine

  1. When we see Love in a Woman, we honor Her as a sacred Vessel of the Goddess
  2. When we see Power in a Man, we honor him as a steward of the Goddess' Power
  3. When we see Power in a Woman, we revere Her as we revere the Goddess as the source of all Power
  4. When we see Love in a Man, we honor him as he comes closer to the Goddess
  5. When we see Love and Power in a Woman, we worship Her as an incarnation of the Goddess, source of all Love and Power, and the Divine Feminine
  6. When we see Love and Power in a Man, we revere him as an uncommon Vessel of the Goddess

Special Practice for Women and Men

  1. As Women we use the Goddess' Love to assist Men in their spiritual practice. As the Masculine encompasses destructive aspects it must be kept in check by the Feminine
  2. As Men we are but temporary stewards of the Goddess' Power and must use Her Power to further Her good for the benefit of others. We must not allow Her Power to be subject to the negative aspects of the Masculine.

On Symbols, Meditation, and Refuge

  1. All that is Feminine is Divine
    1. We see the Goddess in all things Feminine, as Vessels of Her creative Energy
    2. Symbols of the Divine Feminine include: Woman, all aspects of Her Love, Water, the Chalice as a Vessel
  2. The Chalice and the Blade
    1. The Chalice is a representation of the Divine Feminine
    2. All that relates to the Chalice is a symbol to remind us of the Divine Feminine all around us
      • vessels, containers
      • water, wine
      • entryways
      • circles, pentagrams, roses
    3. The Blade is a representation of the Masculine
    4. The Blade can be contained by the Chalice, but the Chalice cannot be contained by the Blade
  3. We seek refuge in the Divine Feminine
    1. To ground ourselves, we seek out symbols of the Divine Feminine and let them remind us of the Goddess' presence all around us
  4. Images of Love and Power
    • The Goddess and Her Feminine and Masculine aspects have been represented by many different images throughout history, and all images that evoke Her Love and/or Her Power should remind us of Her presence around us

Rites

We use Rites to celebrate the Goddess and Her gifts, to raise Energy, and to maintain Balance between the Feminine and the Masculine.

Energy is raised when the Goddess' Love and Power are called forth. Sex Rites are the most powerful methods of calling forth Her Love and Power, and should be performed by those Members who are comfortable doing so.

Since Attraction and Arousal are aspects of the Goddess' Power, they may be used as effective substitutes to Sex Rites.

For maximum effectiveness, Rites are most often performed in groups, but can also be performed by solitaries.

  1. We celebrate Nature as an aspect of the Goddess' Love and Her Power
  2. We celebrate all aspects of Her Love and Her Power
  3. We raise Energy by calling forth Her Love and Her Power
  4. We maintain Balance by celebrating the Goddess' granting and reclaiming of Her Power to Man
