About the Seeker

I call myself the Seeker because I am always seeking to further my understanding of the Goddess and the Divine Feminine. I have created this site as part of my spiritual practice. The Order of the Divine Feminine does not yet exist outside of these pages as far as I know, so it is not an officially chartered order of any religious group. However, I self-identify as a Pagan, with some Wiccan beliefs.

I do not use my real name because I do not want to risk my job, nor do I wish to defend my beliefs in the face of hostile opinion. For now I work in the shadows, as a solitary, hopeful that one day such secrecy will not be required.

About me

I am a moderately successful chief executive in his mid-30s. I am American, white. I was not raised in a particular religion. Instead, I was taught to believe in treating others with dignity and respect. My search for the Goddess is difficult to explain. I have always been attracted to the image of a powerful, beautiful woman, and the magic that exists in all that is feminine. She can create life. What could be more magical and powerful than that?

I don't particularly reject patriarchy, but of course anything excessive is wrong. I believe we don't do ourselves any favors when we ignore the power of the feminine aspect. As a man, I seek to come closer to that power.

I also recognize that there are many destructive aspects of masculine behavior. I think on balance, destruction seems to be more of a masculine trait than a feminine trait. But of course destruction is a natural part of life -- the birth, death, re-birth cycle depends on destruction. So the Goddess has destructive power as well as creative power.

When I look around at the world around us, at Nature, I am struck by the power and the prevalence of the Divine Feminine. Birth, Life, Beauty, Joy, and Love are all around us. They are in the faces of the Maiden, the Mother, and the Crone. They are sometimes even found in the faces of men. But mostly in aspects of the Feminine. It seems so obvious that there must be a Feminine force in our world. How could we have ignored it for so long?

I am rediscovering that profound principle, that all that is Feminine is Divine, only now. And it is liberating.

I welcome your contact.
