STC and I were talking about this, and the reasoning behind doing this was....under the old system, people were graduating from the beginner topic, but not leaving the beginner topic...flufflez, youngblood, metalkirby, etc...pros who continue posting on the beginner topic, and the pro topic is still the core 5 or 6 people (plus the PDM Threesome), so hopefully this will dispearse things up a little more *cough*

Something's gotta change, the beginner topic was created so people would have an inlet into BtT, without having to be scared away from all our 3:2x totals and our 5 second ganondorfs...and all it's really doing is further spliting up the 1337s and non-1337s...

I admit, this may not be the best way of doing it...but people are graduating the beginners topic and not coming over...

I count 9 people, 10 is kazoompah counts. I'll see what I can do about this topic. It was just more convenient for me to stay in the Beginner Topic because of the website I'm trying to maintain for beginners to have an accurate Hall Of Fame. I'll add an Intermediate section to my site though and try to make both topics open to this stuff. Hall Of Fame coming soon.

Some of us are still scared of your times, honestly. Were I to walk into the pro topic right now, I'd get booed out of the place just for my Fox score. <.< >.>

But the biggest reason I never came over after "graduating" with sub-5 was because no one else was. I don't know how well this will work; the HRC topics have trouble sustaining 3, and I kind of doubt the BtT topics will do much better unless there's a constant caretaker like the Cap'n or a serious advertising campaign to GET new people involved.

We'll see, I suppose.

I don't have even the slightest problem being a care-taker for any topics. I would actually prefer that my site be promoted as an official site for Beginner and Intermediate Topics. I'm constantly working on it and just as long as people keep posting their times, I keep updating my site. The important thing is for people the post their times. I have no clue what PT, Amazing, and Marth1's times are. I know they're wrong on my site and on the Intermediate Hall Of Fame I'm about to post. Just make sure you guys keep telling me your improvements. If we share our strats and vids and stuff in the topic and discuss times then no one will be scared away from them. This also means that the beginner topic no longer cares what STC's and Tini's new scores are. So post your times and I'll do my best to keep things going.

I'll update your times as soon as I can Amazing. I have all of those videos I think but I can't put them on the site for space reasons. I can send any of them to you on aim if you want. As for who to work on next...I'm not really sure. The only standouts to me are Y.Link and Pikachu just because I got them sub10 relatively easily. Also, getting DK at 11s or so isn't tough at all and neither is sub 10 Yoshi. Click on my profile for my AIM name.

Okay, Amazing. Head to http://www.rose-hulman.edu/~bolnerap/SSBM/ Amazing (w/o the space). There is also a link on my main page, if that's easier for you. All the vids you requested are there, save 4.25 Luigi - the one I have is 4.35. In addition, I have a sub-10 Y. Link vid that's FAR easier than the one in that directory; you might want to check it out too. My Yoshi and G&W videos fit your qualifications and may be more doable, as well.

I think I'll stay above 4secs... i feel quite well right now ;) Why don't you add all sub 16(sounds bad, but all sub 16 is still not too hard, all sub 15 = hell) and 15 sub 10s?

I'm not sure about all sub16s and 15 sub 10s. Beginner is all sub 20 and pro is all sub 15, so I think intermediate should be all sub 17s. Also, beginner is 10 sub 10s and pro is 20 sub 10s, but 15 sub 10s isn't that easy. I think something like 12 or 13 is more reasonable.

all sub 17 is way too easy to get. Doc sub 20 is always sub 16 if you don't REALLY mess up. Kirby and IC kann both easily be get sub 16 as well, and ness isn't that hard either. I don't really care, but 10 sub 10s IS easy. 13 at least, btu I'd still prefer to see 15 ;)
