| During the summer of 2003, Steamtown operated what will be it's most abitious and extensive excursion season ever. A menu of trips operated to four different destinations. | Carbondale Excursions | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| The year 2003 marked the first time that Steamtown was able to directly access the Delaware-Lackawanna Railroad's Carbondale Main Track and was the first time since 1999 that steam operated on the former D&H line. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Moscow Excursions | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| This year marked the end of Steamtown's regularly scheduled excursions, which operated to Moscow, Pennsylvania on the Delaware-Lackawanna's Pocono Main Line. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Tobyhanna Excursions | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Tobyhanna is about seven miles further east on the Pocono line. Steamtown made several of these extended runs in 2003. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Delaware Water Gap Excursions | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| The longest of the trips operated in 2003 traversed the Pocono Main all the way to the Delaware Water Gap. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
