Update 3 March 2001
March 3, 2001 - This is area on the west side of our house that I landscaped last year.  Mostly everything survived the winter, I think that I will have to buy a few more plants to fill-in here and there.  I planted two hostas in this area last year which I'm anxiously waiting to see if they come back or not.
March 3, 2001 - Most of the beds have been prepared for spring although I still have some work to do.  The Thyme and the honeysuckle on the fense both stay green all winter here in Texas, but surpisingly the roses kept most of their leaves also.  It will be interesting to see how they do this spring.
March 3, 2001 - I decided to turn this area under our little crape myrtle tree into a bulb garden.  The daffodils in the back and along the fence are alread coming up in this picture.  There will be alot of tulips in the front.
March 3, 2001 - The area along this fence has never worked out the way I wanted so I'm starting over from scrach this year.  My first project was the Iris in the left side of the picture.  I transplanted those there about a month ago.  Iris sometime take awhile to get established, but I have hope they that they'll bloom this year.  I'll be planting some shrubs of some sort in the not to distance future along the rest of the fence.
March 3, 2001 - I just planted this bed a couple of weeks ago.  In the back is a row of flowering kale.  In front is a row purple alysum and a row of white alysum.  My hope is that as the temperatures start to rise in March and April the alysum will spred and the kale will start to get taller and bloom.  If my fiendish plan comes to fruition I will be the envy of the neigborhood.
