This lexicon is only of the people, places and creatures found in Farscape. I don't have any of the various phrases like "By the Hynerian Gods" in it. There will be pictures of some of the people, etc. the entries refer to added at a later date. What follows is just to get started with. Episode(s) info is from follows in parentheses.

S

Salis: A Nebari who was bringing his prisoner, Chiana, and mind cleansed companion, Durka, back to Nebari Prime. He punished anything he deemed as inappropriate behavior by Chiana quickly, and when there was an explosion on Moya, he immediately went to check that his prisoner was still locked up. He was killed in one of Moya's corridors, most likely by either Chiana or Durka. (Durka Returns)

Scarrens: A race with very high body temperatures, apparently who can either read other's thoughts or else control them in some way, who are trying to find a way to defeat the Peacekeepers. They are also now showing interest in John, since Scorpius is obviously interested in him, and they want to know why. (Look at the Princess, pts. 1-3; Won't Get Fooled Again)

Scorpius: A half-Scarren, half-Sebacean scientist, very brilliant and coldly calculating. He was trying to create a wormhole at the Gammak base but had not been able to do so. He has totally rejected the Scarren side, and works for the Peacekeepers to defeat the Scarrens. He must wear a thermal suit to maintain his body temperature, which cannot be too hot because his Sebacean half can't handle it, but his Scarren half craves heat. He is determined to get the wormhole information implanted in John's mind by the Ancients, and placed a chip in John's head to look for the information. The chip also prevents John from killing Scorpius or himself, possibly is how Scorpius can track John, and quite likely is programmed to deliver John to him should either John figure out what he needs to do or it finds the info it's looking for. Scorpius is a very dangerous being. (Nerve; A Hidden Memory; Bone to Be Wild; Family Ties; Mind the Baby; Cracker's Don't Matter; Look at the Princess, pts. 1-3; Beware of Dog; Won't Get Fooled Again; The Locket; A Clockwork Nebari)

Scorvians: A race which looks nothing like Ilanics who have been at war with the Ilanics for many cycles. They had a spy, Matala, working as an assistant to Vereil in order to try and secure the quantum singularity technology as a weapon. (Exodus from Genesis)

Sebaceans: Aeryn Sun's race, which cannot stand intense heat. Their bodies shut down and they go into the "Living Death" if their temperature is not lowered. All Peacekeepers are Sebacean, but not all Sebaceans are PKs. At least one group of breakaway Sebacean colonies exists in the Uncharted Territories, which the PKs are aware of, since they were trying to keep the Scarrens from gaining them as allies. (Premiere; Exodus from Genesis; A Hidden Memory; Look at the Princess, pts. 1-3; etc.)

Sheyang: Froglike aliens who belch fire. They scavenge wrecks, taking anything usable. They will also fire on anyone they consider weaker than them. (PK Tech Girl; Mind the Baby)

Staanz: A self-described 'garbalogist', he collects what others throw out. He used to be one of the Zenetan pirates, but is now wanted by them because he knows the ins & outs of the flax they use to trap ships. He aids D'Argo in rescuing John & Aeryn from the flax, and later admits his attraction to D'Argo, telling the Luxan, that he is "the female of his species." (The Flax)

Stark: A former Banik slave who was held on the Gammak base for over 2 cycles and acted the madman so they would leave him alone. Scorpius kept putting him in the Aurora chair, and Stark pretended to love it. The memory he was keeping from Scorpius was of a place he once saw as a boy. He was rescued along with John, and the crew of Moya gave him a transport pod so he could leave. He returned nearly half a cycle (or so) later, bringing news of D'Argo's son Jothee. He joined with Zhaan to discover what was causing Aeryn to age so rapidly and helped her give John the time he needed to initiate starburst when everyone else was frozen. He lied about what happened on board Talyn, blaming Crais for firing on the Placovian ship, but wouldn't let the others die for him, so admitted he hit the firing button and he was dispersed as his punishment. (Nerve; A Hidden Memory; The Locket; The Ugly Truth)

Sykar: Homeworld of the Sykarians, where tannot root is grown. Tannot root is necessary to create the fuel for pulse pistols, rifles, etc. (Thank God It's Friday Again)

Sykarians: The inhabitants of Sykar, who are in a drug-induced state from eating the tannot root. Not all of them are drugged out, some because of a worm that negates the effects of the root and others have a natural immunity. (Thank God It's Friday Again)

T

Tahleen: A power-mad Delvian priestess who lured Moya to the New Moon of Delvia so she could convince Zhaan to join her in unity so she wouldn't go mad. She had some of her followers keep the other crew members' minds occupied while she stole Zhaan's control over her madness from her. (Rhapsody in Blue)

Tauvro Crais: Younger brother of Captain Bialar Crais. He and his brother were taken from their family on a farming commune when they were children by the Peacekeepers, with Bialar being charged by their father to look after Tauvro. He was an excellent prowler pilot, but was killed by accident when his ship clipped Farscape 1 just after it exited the wormhole and then spun into an asteroid. His death triggered Crais's insane vendetta against John Crichton and his dogged pursuit of him through the Uncharted Territories. (Premiere; That Old Black Magic; family information from A Hidden Memory)

Tavleks: An alien race who rely heavily on the drug pumped in their bodies through the gauntlet they wear on their arm. This drug makes them stronger, faster and much more aggressive. Bekhesh's group, at least, kidnap wealthy people for ransom. (Throne for a Loss)

Teeg, Lieutenant: Second-in-command to Captain Bialar Crais on his command carrier. She kept to herself the news of him being ordered to break off pursuit of the fugitives and back to the homeworld as well as prevented the crew and high command from finding out about Crais's incapicitation from Maldis hijacking his soul. Crais rewarded her loyalty to him by snapping her neck. (Premiere, That Old Black Magic)

Thonn: One of the commandoes on Larraq's team and the first to be infected by the intellant virus. He is killed by an infected Larraq. (A Bug's Life)

T'raltixx: A blind alien who offered to install a cloaking device on Moya which would make her invisible. John didn't trust this little alien from the start. T'raltixx told Moya's crew that it would be necessary to go to the shipyards on his homeworld to install a device large enough for Moya, and directed them on a path past 5 pulsars. He also mentions that the pulsars have been known to have a "slight effect" on "lesser" races. In reality, it was T'raltixx himself who was responsible for the crew's erratic behavior. John zapped him with D'Argo's Qualta blade and then stabbed him, killing him. (Crackers Don't Matter)

Tyno, Councilor: Advisor to the royal family, he is also in love with Princess Katralla, who loves him in return. He makes a very hard decision, and asks John to consider marrying her after he proves to be compatible with the princess. When John finds out that Katralla is pregnant with his child, John wants to undergo the becoming a statue process again, but Tyno sadly must inform him and the empress that it is impossible for John to do so. John, heartbroken, but realizing that Katralla and Tyno are in love and the succession is ensured, tells Tyno to take his place. Presumably Tyno is now also a statue for the next 80 cycles, next to his beloved Katralla. (Look at the Princess, pts. 1-3)
