D

Das: One of the suicidal teens who got their thrills from "taking the stone", which was jumping off a cliff while maintaining a note so that the sonic net would catch them at the bottom. Das didn't maintain the note, so he died because the net didn't activate. He knew (or at least suspected) why none of them could live much past 22 cycles without becoming very ill. He was Vyna's boyfriend. (Taking the Stone)

Delvia: Homeworld of the Delvians. (DNA Mad Scientist)

Delvians: A race of humanoid plants, who are very spiritual in their outlook on life. They have a "Seek" which is based on the "Tree of Life". Exposure to intense solar radiation gives them photogasms. They are also capable of sharing "unity", which is a blending of two minds into one, and gives each of the participants a small piece of the other in exchange. Unity also creates a bond between those who have shared it, enabling them to speak telepathically if they concentrate. Some Delvians are able to sense the flow of time around them when they are in unity. (Premiere, Til the Blood Runs Clear, Rhapsody in Blue, Bone to Be Wild, Picture If You Will, The Locket, etc.)

Denea: A lush swampy planet which John describes as looking like Dagobah or Louisiana, where Moya hid while they searched for clorium, an anesthetic, so they could remove a paddoc beacon from her neural nexus. (I, E.T.)

Deneans: A technologically primitive species, roughly equivalent to late 20th century Earth, which has not officially had contact with aliens as yet. (I, E.T.)

Dimensional creature: The creature which attempted to communicate with the crew of Moya when she was stuck in mid-starburst. John finally managed to talk to the creature, and it told him that they must go in full reverse to break from from the starburst, else they would be destroyed. (Through the Looking Glass)

DK: John Crichton's best friend and co-designer of the Farscape 1 project. He was capcom for John during his initial test which resulted in him being shot across the universe. (Premiere)

Drak: Small, insectlike creatures who live in a swarm in space, but need a very warm enviroment in which to reproduce. They invaded Moya and raised the enviromental controls to a point which was dangerous to Aeryn's health. They were harmless until John killed one of them which was collecting samples of the crew's DNA, then they attacked. They also were capable of producing clones of the crew which didn't speak. They helped John and the others defeat a PK commando group which had boarded the ship to capture the escaped prisoners before they finished their reproductive cycle and left. (Exodus from Genesis)

Dregon Casanova: A cousin to Princess Katralla and Prince Clavor who takes a liking to Aeryn Sun. He tries repeatedly to get her to take the compatibility test with him, but she refuses each time. He gladly goes rock climbing with her, not caring why she suddenly is showing an interest in him, even though he is only rated expert at the training facility and has never climbed a real rock face in his life. Terrified of heights. Loses his grip, and ends out pulling himself and Aeryn off the cliff to the rocks below, breaking Aeryn's leg and severely injuring himself. Gives Aeryn some good advice: tell John how she feels, even if he is only a statue now, because he can still hear her and he'll know. (Look at the Princess, pts. 1-3)

Durka, Selto, Captain: Former Peacekeeper captain of the Zelbinion, he faked his own death and left in an escape pod before his ship's destruction at the hands of the Nebari. He was captured by the Nebari, who put him through the process of mental cleansing which resulted in a much calmer Durka who regretted his past actions. He is held in high regard and awe by Peacekeepers of Aeryn's generation because he was a military genius. He tortured Rygel for a number of cycles, but never managed to break him. Rygel, on finding that Durka was still alive over a 100 cycles later, tried to kill him several times, failing each time, including when he tried to blow him up with a bomb. However, Rygel's bomb did manage to break the mental cleansing imposed on Durka and returned him to his former, evil self. Durka captured Aeryn and Rygel and took over command, and intended to kill both of them (Rygel slowly and painfully) after he got away from the area where the Nebari host vessel was to be coming to pick him, Salis and Chiana up. He was not pleased to discover that Rygel was telling the truth about Moya being pregnant and that she couldn't starburst. He then planned to kill Moya's baby, but was stopped by John who threw a bomb which opened Moya's outer doors and blew the Nebari ship from the bay before Durka could fire. Durka was last seen floating away in the Nebari ship with no propulsion, promising revenge on Crichton. It is not known if he was picked up by the Nebari host vessel or if he is still floating out there somewhere. (PK Tech Girl, Durka Returns)

E

"Earp": The mispronounced name of Crichton's homeworld, Earth. He is sometimes referred to by his shipmates as an "Earpman". (Premiere, etc.)

Earth: Homeworld of Commander John Crichton. It is located a very, very long way from the Uncharted Territories that he now finds himself inhabiting. (Premiere, etc.)

Ennixx: Granddaughter of Aeryn Sun who lives on the "favored planet". She may still exist in an alternate reality, since she can no longer exist in this reality. (The Locket)

F

"Fairchild, Dr. Bettina": The name used by Aeryn in the fantasy world created by the Scarren in John's mind. (Won't Get Fooled Again)

Fostro: Son of Lyneea. (I, E.T.)

Flax: A large netlike creation used by the Zenetan pirates to capture unsuspecting ships so they can easily loot and dispose of them. (The Flax)

Furlow: A mechanic on a very hot desert world which is subject to solar flares slightly less than every 5 cycles. She is highly interested in developing wormhole technology, seeing it as a lucrative business. She fixes Farscape 1 in exchange for the datatape of the proto-wormhole which John created prior to him and Aeryn having to put down on the planet for repairs. (Til the Blood Runs Clear)

G

Gammak Base: A top secret Peacekeeper base located deep within an asteroid field in the Uncharted Territories which conducts highly secret research including into developing a use for the intellivirus as a weapon and Scorpius's wormhole research. The first mention of this base came from Larraq and his band of commandoes who told Moya's crew that it was less than 20 arns away from their current position. It was the only place available to find the tissue sample necessary to save Aeryn's life. It was destroyed when the oil covered moon it was located on was ignited by the explosives in the transport pod set by Ka D'Argo and John Crichton impacted the surface of the moon. (A Bug's Life; Nerve; A Hidden Memory; Family Ties)

Gilina: A Peacekeeper technician found by Aeryn, D'Argo and John on the wreck of the Zelbinion. She was from Crais's command carrier, assigned to discover what caused the ship's destruction. The other members of her team were killed when they were attacked by the Sheyang, while she hid. She helped them get the defense shield partially operational and became attracted to John in the process. Aeryn allowed her to leave, telling John that Gilina would say nothing because she would be deemed "irreversibily contaminated" if she did tell. Later she was assigned to the PK Gammak Base located in the Uncharted Territories, her transfer coming through shortly after her return to Crais's carrier from the Zelbinion. She recognized John in the officer's club and programmed the computer to identify his DNA as Sebacean, then helped him to get the medicine to heal Aeryn's wound and save her life. After John was discovered, she kept in contact with him, created a diversion so Chiana could leave the base with Aeryn's medicine, and implanted a false memory in the Aurora chair to give John a bit of a breather. Then she helped John, Stark and Aeryn to escape, deciding at the last moment not to go with them, but then changing her mind later. She arrived just in time to see John captured by Scorpius, and hesitated to fire on John, but Scorpius didn't hesitate--he shot her. John broke free, and with the others, took Gilina back to Moya, where she died peacefully. (PK Tech Girl; Nerve; A Hidden Memory)
