This lexicon is only of the people, places and creatures found in Farscape. I don't have any of the various phrases like "By the Hynerian Gods" in it. There will be pictures of some of the people, etc. the entries refer to added at a later date. What follows is just to get started with. Episode(s) info is from follows in parentheses.

M

Macton: D'Argo's Peacekeeper brother-in-law who murdered his own sister, Lolann, and then arrested D'Argo for the crime with her own blood still on his hands. (They've Got A Secret)

Maldis: A life-energy vampire who especially feeds on negative emotions like anger, hatred and fear. He exists in an alternate dimension, but can effect people in the "real" universe, sucking the life energy from those around him. He pulled John's soul into his reality where he pitted John against Crais and fed off the emotions generated between the two of them. Maldis sent Crais back to his ship just before John could kill him, and then as he started to suck the life energy from John, Zhaan broke through and zapped Maldis in such a way as to make him vulnerable to attack by John, and Maldis ended up being dispersed. Unfortunately, Maldis managed to pull himself together enough to create a false identity, a trader named Kyvan, whom he used to trick Chiana into purchasing a picture which could foresee the future. In reality, Maldis was using the picture to capture the crew of Moya, one by one (except Aeryn and Rygel, who were not on board at the time), and bring them to his alternate reality and then planned to reenter the real universe. Aeryn shot Kyvan, destroying his bit of reality, and John and the others escaped his alternate world, with the door being shut by several blasts from the weapons on a DRD and Aeryn's prowler, trapping Maldis once more. (That Old Black Magic; Picture If You Will)

Matala: A Scorvian spy disguised as an Ilanic, who is supposed to gain control of the quantum singularity technology Vereil is working on and deliver it to her people. She was killed when the singularity crushed her ship. (Back and Back and Back to the Future)

Meelak: A Nebari who at first appeared to be completely in favor of the Nebari Establishment, but in reality is a member of the resistance against it. He kills Varla in order to save Chiana's life. (A Clockwork Nebari)

M'Lee: A calcivore, last surviving member of her species on Br'Nee's asteroid. She at first appears harmless but when she gets hungry, she must eat. Scorpius took her from the asteroid, and later sent her away on a transport after his security officer he assigned to watch her turned up missing. (Bone to Be Wild)

Molnon: The leader of the teens on the royal cemetery planet after Das died. He wanted Chiana to make the jump so he wouldn't have to. (Taking the Stone)

Monarch: Queen of the Drak who came on board Moya to reproduce. She spoke to the others through Zhaan and was greatly impressed by Rygel. She also was not happy when people killed her children. (Exodus from Genesis)

Moya's Original Pilot: A female who flatly refused to go along with Crais's plan to produce warship/Leviathan hybrids. She was killed by the Peacekeepers, including Aeryn, several cycles ago. (The Way We Weren't)

N

Namtar: A brilliant genetic researcher who in reality is a small rodentlike creature who was genetically enhanced in both size and intelligence until he took over the project from the original research team. He changed the goal of the project to creating the perfect being, namely himself, by incorporating those highly desirable aspects of other species, for example, regeneration or Pilot's multitasking ability, into his own genetic structure. He was reduced back to his original form by Crichton and Kornata. (DNA Mad Scientist)

Nebari: A race of people who believe in conformity. They mind cleanse their own people, as well as aliens, of any negative thoughts or emotions, making them feel remorse over their past misdeeds, and promoting the belief that all things should be done for the greater good, in this case, the Nebari Establishment. They strictly control thought and actions, punishing any that do not conform to their ideals. The Nebari were also responsible for the destruction of the pride of the Peacekeeper fleet, the Zelbinion, over 100 cycles ago. The Nebari infected thousands of their own people with a disease which has a specific trigger and sent them out among the other races of the galaxy to spread the disease which will enable them to take over a portion of the galaxy. There is a resistance movement also among the Nebari, led, at least in part, by Chiana's brother Neri, who are against this plan. (PK Tech Girl, Durka Returns, Taking the Stone, A Clockwork Nebari)

Nebari Prime: Homeworld of the Nebari. (Durka Returns, A Clockwork Nebari)

Neera: Head of the priestans on Acquara. She wanted her son, Rokon, to marry Lishala so he could rule all of Acquara. She also believed that John and D'Argo were a threat to her and what she was trying to accomplish, and branded Rygel a false god after he told them he couldn't lead them to the light. She was removed from her position after Rygel did free them. (Jeremiah Crichton)

Neri: Brother of Chiana. He was believed by Chiana to be dead, until she received a message from one of his underlings that he was alive and well. He is 3 years older than her and is part of the Nebari resistance who is fighting to stop the Nebari Establishment's insidious plan of using a created infectious disease to take over a portion of the galaxy by mind controlling those who are infected by it. (Taking the Stone; A Clockwork Nebari)

New Moon of Delvia: The moon where Tahleen and her followers were attempting to find a new path to enlightenment and where they lured Moya's crew to so Tahleen could share unity with Zhaan to stave off the madness. (Rhapsody in Blue)

Niem: "Peacekeeper Barbie" as John calls her, she is Scorpius's assistant. She ran the Aurora chair for him, and it is not known if she survived the destruction of the base. (Nerve, A Hidden Memory)

Nilaam: The Luxan Orican whom D'Argo was to help die. She changed the ritual partway through into one of renewal because she believed D'Argo had great power, but it was really Moya's power she was sensing. Her youthful form was killing Moya, and D'Argo had to complete the ritual and kill her to save Moya. (Vitas Mortis)

Novia, Empress: Ruler of the breakaway Sebacean colonies in the Uncharted Territories. Also the mother of Princess Katralla and Prince Clavor. She believes firmly in neutrality, since joining either the Scarrens or the PKs in their fight would mean the other side would attack and everything they've built would be destroyed. She has executed all offworlders in the past, which is why Rygel is very afraid when she orders the same if Crichton (her son-in-law) is not found by morning. She also gave John the choice of marrying her daughter or being turned over to Scorpius. And she plotted with Rygel to hide John on ro-NA's people's ship until the wedding to stop people from trying to kill him. (Look at the Princess, pts. 1-3)

O-P-Q-R

Placovians: Arms merchants who deal in weapons like novatron gas, which can dissolve a person, and dampening nets (which are non-lethal). One of their ships was destroyed by Talyn, and Crichton, D'Argo, Zhaan, Aeryn, and Stark were put on trial for the crime. Stark was found guilty and dispersed, though in reality it was Talyn who had done it. (The Ugly Truth)

"Ragel, Gary": Name assumed by D'Argo in the fantasy world created by the Scarren in John's mind. He was a partying, girl-chasing young astronaut. (Won't Get Fooled Again)

Rhed: One of the commandoes on Larraq's team. He was killed by an infected Thonn. (A Bug's Life)

Rokon: Hunter and son of the head priestan, Neera. He was in love with Lishala and jealous of Crichton. (Jeremiah Crichton)

ro-NA: Servant girl of the royal family, she saved Crichton and the princess from a floating weapons droid, and then later betrayed John to Scorpius for money. She was electrocuted on board her people's ship. (Look at the Princess, pts. 1-2)

Rorf and Rorg: Vorcarian blood trackers who were after the bounty on D'Argo, Rygel and Zhaan that Crais offered. They captured D'Argo and began torturing him to find out where the others were, but John saved D'Argo's life by making his blood run clear. They use their sense of smell to track their prey. Decided that this prey wasn't worth hunting after John & D'Argo fought back. (Til the Blood Runs Clear)

Rymaxx, General: The general on Denea who was charged with capturing the aliens. He did manage to catch D'Argo, but John, Lyneea, and Fostro freed him, leaving the general with no aliens. (I, E.T.)
