Diana and Rick become cocky and arrogant after the power-rush of voting off Michelle, and manipulate Shane and Tabatha into choosing Diana to fill the vacancy in their four-way alliance. However, Rick begins to reconsider the partnership when Diana is voted most-popular, followed by Shane. Jon wins the reward challenge and is pressured to deny Miriam a chance of winning immunity. Kelley and Janei share the win at the immunity challenge, and in a 6-1-1 vote Miriam becomes the third jury member.
Janei feels completely isolated after Miriam is voted out. "Who in this game would have thought that me, Janei, would be the last and remaining member of Cree? That is something that I am very proud of and I will continue to represent Cree on good lengths. It was too bad we had a few bad apples in the bucket or else we would have dominated."
Diana coughs as she carefully builds up the fire so Rick can cook some food. With Miriam gone, their only present source of fire is to carry it back from Tribal Council on their torches. If it should go out, they may be without fire for three days.
Rick tells Diana how he and Shane were thinking that Kelley might have to be the first Paleo to go. But he remembers Diana mentioning getting rid of Shane and asks her which she thinks is the smarter way to go: "You, me, Shane and Tab — or you, me, Jon and Kelley?"
Diana says she was only musing about voting Shane; she has no such plans. She likes going with Shane and Tabatha but knows they are tight. "We'll have to rely on immunity at that point to decide which team will end up."
"I was thinking the same thing," Rick readily agrees. They know what Shane and Tabatha are about, while Kelley and Jon are both "sleepers" and, in Rick's opinion, more dangerous.
Diana knows that it's a better plan, "but I'm gonna feel really bad about Jon, so I'd like to abstain if possible." Rick is surprised. Asked why it would be so difficult, Diana tells Rick how Jon was one of the first people to approach Diana for an alliance.
Rick proposes, "So at final five, you, me and Jon take out Shane... then Tabatha." Rick tells her, "Honestly, I have loyalty to two people in this game: you and me."
However, Rick questions his last statement in a confessional:
"Diana hesitated when the subject of voting out Jon came up ... I do not believe that Diana would place Jon above me, I know her well enough, I believe, to think she'd not do that to me. But the fact that she even hesitated about voting someone out caught me off guard and is making me a little leery. If she had suggested voting out Shane or Tab — the two I have an alliance with — I wouldn't have hesitated for an instant. The only way to make it to the Final Two is to vote everyone else out. No hesitation."
"I'm tired of making it to the Jury," Rick continues. "I'm playing for Final Two, baby! Not sure how this will set with me, in the end, but I do believe I need to start playing my own game and not keep Diana so much in the loop. Hesitation is not a good thing in this game. It will get you every time."
Careful about meeting so not to tip Jon or Kelley, Rick later hits-up Tabatha for her opinion on who should go after Janei, or as an alternate. Tabatha thinks Kelley, that she's the next-biggest threat. Rick mentions tossing the idea around with Shane, and they also settled on Kelley.
Tabatha is concerned that Shane received a vote again. "We need to try to help Shane ... to get immunity in case the others are voting with Janei." Rick agrees; the confidence with the vote reason struck him as very bold. "He needs the immunity bad!" Tabatha stresses. If they can help Shane win, it'll keep it from Janei and keep him safe.
Rick wonders if there's another surprise in store for them. "I'm thinking we might split back into two tribes. It would be a big twist for one challenge." Tabatha suggests that the person voted out could take someone else with them. Rick laughs. "She loves to see us squirm," he says of the host.
Diana started feeling sick the previous day and now she finds she has no energy at all. She rests around the shelter, saving her strength to fight it off. Keyano hasn't had a decent meal since the merge celebration and Diana feels like her immune system has crashed.
When Treemail arrives for the Reward Challenge, Diana can't see any reason to try competing for it. She decides to stay in camp and continue resting. Diana wishes the others luck, and promises to keep a fire burning for them.
The others leave, and Diana sits at the fire but soon grows bored of just watching it so she puts a few things together for a soup to share when her tribemates return. Diana sits in the warmth of the popping, crackling fire, with Rick's big Gortex jacket over her back, and rests as the soup heats up.
Behind Diana, a large gray-and-white bird lands on a support of the shelter, looking like an overgrown chickadee. It looks at Diana, then tilts its head and eyes the open food container she'd left out. The Canada Jay flies down to take advantage of this opportunity.
Zoe welcomes the Survivors to their next reward. After 25 days in the wilderness, they are going to have a reminder of civilization in a challenge Zoe calls "TV Tunes". All they have to do is match the titles of TV Shows to the snippets of theme music she plays.
Parts of 20 songs are played — only those of CBS-owned shows are aired in the episode. The audio clips are kept down to a bare seven seconds, leaving many Survivors scratching their heads.
Janei is too young to know a lot of the songs and Tabatha has an unfortunate headache. Jon stays in and tries his best, but he's the youngest of the group and suffers from a generational-gap in the pop culture knowledge. The contest quickly narrows down to three Survivors: Rick, Kelley and Shane.
Shane has hardly missed any but towards the end has fallen behind enough that he can't win against Rick or Kelley. At the last question Kelley is ahead by one point and Rick — who missed the Muppet Show theme! — can only hope for a tie... but he doesn't get it.
With a perfect 20/20 score, Kelley wins.
"The reward will be done differently this time." Zoe brings out nine gift-wrapped boxes. "There are nine rewards to choose from... the twist is you will not know what you are choosing... and there is one reward that you will not want."
Kelley picks a red box, the tribal colour of old Paleo. She opens it and pulls out a rectangle of rough pulp paper with which everyone is quite familiar.
Zoe announces that Kelley has won a second vote to cast at the next Tribal Council, and congratulates Kelley.

As runner-up, Rick is first to offer congratulations. "Great Job, Kelley! Way to go!" Laughing, he adds that it was, "a rough one for me... as much as I watch TV, you'd think I know them all."
However, on the hike back, Rick tells Tabatha a different story. He vents his frustration that the Host allowed Kelley so much time to answer. "I was kinda upset that she gave extra time... 'cause otherwise I would have won." Tabatha can understand that, feeling that she could have had a better shot herself.
Rick shares the same opinion with Jon. "I thought you and I were the only two she'd accept, but she took the others as well so neither of us won." They both scored better than they thought they would.
Rick takes the opportunity to ask Jon if he's heard any "rumblings" about the upcoming vote. "I'm assuming it's going to be Janei," Rick asks, feigning ignorance, "unless she wins immunity?" Jon agrees, but in regard to immunity, asks if there's a Plan B. "I think there needs to be one," Rick replies, "I just hadn't thought about it until now." Rick claims that he has no alliances beyond being a part of Paleo. "I've talked with Diana and Shane a lot though... and you."
Jon says that he also talks with Diana and Shane a lot, infrequently with Tabatha and rarely with Kelley. Rick notes this, and returns the conversation to their Plan B. Jon isn't sure, but suggests, "Maybe Tabi?" But honestly, Jon thinks, "I might be targeted first."
Rick tells Jon, "I wouldn't think of you as a prime target... Honestly, I think the strongest players in the game are probably Shane or Kelley." He points out that Kelley just won back-to-back challenges and is a potential threat. "I thought Diana was a strong threat," Rick continues, "but not sure what's going on with her now." He says that he can come up with reasons for Kelley, Shane or Diana, though Tabatha is also an option.
Smelling smoke as they get closer to camp, Keyano pick up their pace. It is nice to have someplace warm to return to, and they thank Diana for keeping the home fire burning, and for the meal she's prepared.
Between eating and informing Diana about the reward challenge, it is a while before anyone notices that their food stores have been plundered. Grains have been spilled and scattered, but other things surrounding it are undisturbed. It's a bit of a poser until the jays return, with some bravado, to look for more. Shane throws a baseball-sized rock at one, hoping to make a meal of it, but misses and the camp-robbers fly away.
After the excitement Rick tells Diana, "Shane is shaking in his boots." Rick chuckles. "He is truly worried that he is the next to go. Do you think now is the time or should we wait 'til Janei is gone?"
"I think if Janei wins, we want to aim for Shane if possible," Diana replies.
Rick makes a confessional during his watch at the fire.
"Here's where the game gets interesting. Janei won immunity last time, Paleo is all abuzz with questions... 'what if she does it again?' Talking with Diana, my main partner in crime, we can't decide whether to side with Kelley and Jon and get rid of Shane, or to side with Shane and Tabatha and get rid of Kelley.
"Shane and Tabatha would definitely be supportive of the idea to get rid of Kelley. Jon seems to be leaning towards Tab, though I think he could be swayed — by Diana — rather easily to vote Shane. Not sure if we could get Kelley, though." Rick pauses. "I'm getting hesitation from Diana about making a decision. This should clue me in to something.
"I've always played this game true to my word, always gotten to the jury true to my word. I might have to change that policy if I intend to make it any farther in this game."
Diana feels better the next morning, after a full night's sleep. She checks with Jon, not having been "around" to talk much. "I was getting some weird vibes from some of the tribe members and wanted to touch base with you." Diana tells Jon, "Someone told me that Shane had decided on who would be the final four, and it does not include us."
"Eeep!" Jon squeaks, and they both laugh.
Diana tells Jon that Shane's final four are, "Tab, himself, Kelley and ummm—" Diana stops, realizing that she has miscounted or confused actual alliances with the yarn she's spinning "—shoot, I think that was it. Final three."
Jon suggests, "Should we counter with me, you and Rick?"
Diana grins ear-to-ear as Jon walks into it. "Cool, had a feeling you and I were on the same page." Jon is curious of how tie breakers work, as that would put the original Paleo in a 3-3 split. "I have a feeling we can work with Kelley," she suggests. Jon asks about Diana's source for this information, and Diana claims that is was Miriam, that Shane "was being pompous and bragging to Miriam about his plans after he voted her off."
Continually polling the tribe, Rick checks with Kelley about the immunity challenge and any ideas for a "Plan B" should Janei win immunity.
"Honestly, I don't have a plan," Kelley replies. "I was feeling a little vulnerable if Janei did win... so I'd be up for whatever you'd have as a possibility in the unlikely event. No one's really talked alliances with me, so I'm pretty much available for whatever."
Rick mentions that he's "heard" Shane and Tabatha mentioned, and asks if Kelley would be interested in joining up against either of them, suggesting that they could also get Diana on board, and that Diana may bring Jon with her. Kelley agrees: "I'd be willing if that's what you want to do."
Rick checks in with Diana, telling her that Kelley is open to suggestions and he thinks they can get her to target Shane with her double vote. If Diana can swing Jon, that's five votes against Shane, enough to get him out. Diana says that Jon is all for voting out Shane, and explains the story she told him. Rick insists that they have to keep telling Shane and Tabatha that the next vote is for Kelley, however — and hope that Jon and Kelley don't say anything.
It's a long hike to the immunity challenge, which is being held in a different location. Janei, Jon and Kelley are a tired and perspiring from the hike.
Zoe gives them a moment to rest, then welcomes the Survivors to Keyano's fourth immunity challenge: "Ports of Call."
Zoe leads them to an enormous maze which has been built. She tells them that it is an approximation of all of the major footpaths they have been using through the wilderness — those between Cree, Paleo and Keyano camps, challenge areas and tribal council, among others. At the Tribal Council spot they will find a board with twenty photographs taken from different vantage points in the area. The Survivors' task is to take a tag from each picture, go to the location in the maze corresponding to the vantage point of the picture, and put the tag in the box found there. It will be a test of their visual memory, orienteering and speed.
Zoe smiles a little, having seen the "dailys" with complaints about time allowances on the previous challenge. She tells them that time will be strictly enforced — time will be called when the first person has placed all twenty of their tags. Whoever has the most correct matches at that point will win immunity.
The Challenge begins and the Survivors run into the maze. Diana is first to find the Tribal council area, and studies the photographs. Spotting a couple familiar views, she grabs two tags and sets off again. Rick, Tabatha and Shane arrive after her, and hurriedly take some other tags, heading in different directions. However, others are having problems even finding Tribal Council. Janei grabs onto a post, unsteady on her feet. Jon and Kelley look disoriented, or... nauseous. Yup, Kelley doubles-over and vomits on camera. Someone else dodges stepping in it as they run past.
Shane randomly distributes in the boxes around Cree's camp the tags from pictures he doesn't know, figuring they have to be there. Diana is studies the board again and works on the ones she can recognize. But Rick and Tabatha are having difficulty seeing much difference from one photo to the next — spruce forest is spruce forest.
Janei, Jon and Kelley have to quit the challenge. Running around in the maze is only making them more sick. It seems that they have some mild food poisoning. It's not enough to disqualify them, but they won't be able to finish the challenge. Diana, on the other hand, is making her way through the maze with a lot of energy — almost as if she wasn't sick the previous day, or as if she had had more to eat than her tribemates.
Shane makes a few more guesses and dumps the rest of his tags in a box, and time is called while Tabatha still has half of her tags on the board. Zoe leads Survivors out of the maze while production assistants check the tags — counting correct matches rather than the far more frequent incorrect ones.
"She is getting nuts with these challenges!" Rick whispers to Tabatha, thinking the cameras are off.
"That challenge is horrid!" Tabatha replies. "Hell, Pure Hell."
"If the challenges keep getting harder like this," Rick says, "then we are all toast!"
The results are brought to Zoe. "I see this challenge was a hard one for you," Zoe notes. "That's how it gets in the end... the one who deserves to win this game will earn it. You all have done great so far and I wish you all good luck!"
Shane has last place with one match. Tabatha has third place with two matches. Second place goes to Rick with three matches. And in first place with 5 correct matches, the winner is Diana.
"Congratulations Diana, you have won yourself Immunity for tonight's Tribal Council. Everyone else is fair game."
Rick and Kelley congratulate Diana, who hams up an acceptance speech for her first individual win. "Thank you guys. And I'd like to thank The Academy for this prestigous award, and I'd like to thank everyone that lives in New Zealand that wasn't thanked by the Lord of the Rings Crew (I think there's about 2 persons left), and, and... Thanks All." Even Zoe laughs.

Back in camp, Rick congratulates Diana again, and tells her that Kelley says she's "good to go" for voting Shane out after Janei.
Rick talks with Tabatha, noting that after that gruelling challenge only four of them are going to get a vote: Rick, Tabatha, Diana and Shane. "So now we wait and see if the vote falls the way it should — it should, since we are all in this together."
Tabatha can't believe that Janei didn't even try, and will self-vote. They chat a bit, then Tabatha asks Rick a tough question. "Do you and Shane have a final pact alliance where you take him and he takes you?"
Rick says no. "I actually thought that he had such an arrangement with you... 'cause as soon as he and I agreed to work together, he wanted to bring you into it."
Tabatha says no, that they never talked about it much. "I don't have any final pact with anyone." Rick tells her that he doesn't either, that he would be scared to make such a promise in this game.
They consider what the jury decision will be like, with an all-Paleo final two and a Paleo majority on the jury... considering it a done-deal that the vote will go as expected.
"Good Evening, Survivors," Zoe welcomes them.
"We have three self-votes tonight as per rule #3. Sorry guys, but I put that rule in to keep everyone active. I will list them first. Here we go..."

JANEI
My vote is for Janei.
(Diana)
JANEI
My vote if for Janei.
While she was a member of Cree and destined to go this vote, the vote would have been for her, regardless. Once we merged, she made no effort to become a member of Keyano. Staton and Miriam made the effort. Total UTR [under-the-radar] on her part. She participated in the challenges, and did well, but lack of even attempting to try and talk to any of us from Paleo makes this the easiest vote of the game. And the votes are supposed to be 'hard' at this point. Thanks, Janei, for making this one easy for us.
(Rick)
JANEI
My vote is for Janei cause shes the last of cree
(Shane)
JANEI
I am voting for Janei. Sorry Janei but an alliance was formed long ago and your the last original cree. Now on with the game>>>>>>Game On!
(Tabatha)
Janei, the Tribe has spoken. You have been eliminated from Survivor Canada 3 and have become the fourth Jury Member. We hope you will watch the rest of the game. Thanks for playing Janei.
