Miriam and Janei mourn Staton's loss and put aside their differences. Rumours fly of Michelle trying to use Miriam's vote which causes many of her allies to speculate that she has abandoned Paleo Pride. In a two-part challenge, Michelle shows remarkable insight into the minds of her tribemates, but it is Rick who wins immunity in a tie-breaker. Paleo Pride turns on their own and in a 7-0 vote Michelle becomes the second member of the jury.
"Yippie!!!" Miriam can't hide her joy as they hike back from Tribal Council. "Thank you! I know you are a united tribe and I don't have a lot of time, but I thank you from the bottom of my heart!"
In a confessional, Miriam says, "I wish I hadn't been an idiot and believed Michelle, but at least I didn't vote the way she wanted even though it wouldn't have made a difference.
"I am incredibly vulnerable. Not because I have done anything to anyone, but simply because Paleo has an agreement to vote off all Cree members before voting off any Paleo." An exception to that agreement was made to vote Michelle off, however. Miriam has no alliances left but the people she trusts most are Shane, Diana and Rick. Of them, Miriam thinks that Diana most deserves to make it to finals.
Tabatha makes a shorter, and rather cryptic confessional: "Wasn't that nice... Michelle is gone... now one more in the book of us! Now we shall split again... and get the "real" game going!!!!"
Rick and Diana take a watch at the campfire together, and quietly laugh about blind-siding Michelle. Rick knows he was hard on Michelle, but Diana encourages it. "It's the name of the game." Rick agrees that the game needed some drama and spiciness. "I liked it," Diana says, "and I'm sure she won't take it too personally." Rick hopes not... since they'll have to ask for her jury vote to win.
After giving it a night's uneven sleep, Diana reflects on voting out Michelle. "I would like to let her know that some of the comments were made just for the 'drama' and 'effect'. Of course none of it was personal," Diana says to the camera. "Cree should watch themselves 'cause if anyone tries to help them they'll be smashed [like Michelle]."
Miriam also has some private thoughts, and records a message for Michelle. "I'm sorry that you were voted off. I know that doesn't mean much now, but I want you to understand how it happened. After you offered me the 'alliance'... I talked with another tribemate and mentioned it. That person told me it didn't exist and at that time that person talked to the others and they decided you needed to go next. I agreed to vote for you. I couldn't go against that promise Michelle. Then the next night we "talked". If you are angry, I'm sorry... I just wanted you to know the sequence of events. Take care."
Rick makes a confessional explaining his intentions as his alliances begin to mesh. "Diana and I are solidifying our base. I have tried to get Shane to 'bring her in' to our alliance now that Michelle is gone — making it Tab, me, Shane and Diana. I've made Shane think that I'm asking him for permission to make it a final four grouping; he has bought it hook, line and sinker. He thinks it was his decision that she should become a member of our alliance and is trying to talk her into it. Diana, of course, is playing dumb and making Shane work for it so he feels like he has earned something."
Rick feels that things at camp have gone quiet. "Any ideas on what one does for fun in the Ontario wilderness?" he asks. He supposes that streaking is out of the question, and suggests that they should get some alcohol in a reward challenge. "We need something to warm us up."
Diana has her paints, and Jon has a deck of cards.
At the mention of cards, Miriam pleads with Rick to not try any strip poker. Tabatha, however, is wondering if Diana's luxury is body paint. "Woohoo, could be fun, fun, fun!"
Others from Paleo just laugh at them even contemplating it with all the black flies and mosquitoes. Although, now that they think of it, the pests aren't as bad as they were at Paleo camp. Maybe because they're further away from the water... and the bats which visited Keyano must eat up thousands of them.
While Paleo engage in their games, Miriam gathers wood and keeps tending the fire. Fire is life, and she isn't going to let her it go out for Keyano even though she knows that they want to vote her out. Miriam and Janei don't do anything to improve Keyano's shelter, however. They save their strength for the challenges. More than ever, they know that they need a win.
Discussing the game with Rick, Diana says that Shane thinks he's running things. Rick is starting to see that, too. The two of them have another long laugh about voting Michelle out.
Later, Tabatha asks Rick how he feels about the game. Rick says that he hopes Paleo gets back on the original plan. "I wasn't happy about voting Michelle out," he claims. Reinforcing their common interests, he tells her, "We were all between a rock and a hard place." Tabatha agrees with the idea that they had little choice in it, and says she is all for the plan to get Miriam with Janei as a backup. "Miriam is working everyone," Rick insists. "We need to make sure she doesn't get to any more of us."
As Survivors arrive for the reward challenge, they find themselves facing a semi-circle of large masks which are obvious caricatures of themselves and their tribemates. The masks appear to be made from dried sphagnum and other mosses, and look a bit creepy. They are rigged to hang on large wooden levers held by ropes. At the focus of the arc is a table with a slingshot and a small box for each Survivor.
"In this challenge, I won't be deciding the winner," Zoe tells them. "You all will, but you won't know how the winner is decided until we all know the results."
They are given the boxes, which each contain seven slingshot bullets. The bullets look identical except that they are numbered from 1 to 7, very lightly so it can only be seen on close inspection. The challenge asks something very simple. They must each rank their fellow tribemates from most-liked to least-liked (from 1 to 7). But to succeed in Survivor, a player has to vote their tribemates off, even the ones they like. So they will take turns shooting the masks of their tribemates with the bullets they have selected — one per mask, excluding their own.
Shane takes up the slingshot first and puts one between the eyes of Rick's mask, then Kelley puts one up Shane's nose. There is no way for the others to tell which value bullets they were using, but they notice that the bullets are embedding themselves in the masks — the masks aren't shattering as in previous Survivors.
When Janei goes to use the slingshot, it slips in her hand. She fumbles with it for a bit, then asks if she can be excused from the challenge. Zoe sees the way Janei's hands are shaking and permits Janei to step down.
The challenge continues. Diana shoots the masks left to right to keep track, and keeps reordering the slingshot bullets she has left, trying to guess the challenge. Rick has no such doubts; always thinking about the "pecking order" he knows exactly what order he'd vote people out.
About halfway through the challenge, most are noticing that the bullets have different weights. Shane exchanges a smile with Zoe as he figures it out, but she puts a finger to her lips, advising him to be quiet about it.
When the last bullet is shot and the slingshot put down, Zoe has them stand in a line. "I bet you thought the most liked would win... or did you think the least liked would get it? Sorry, both are wrong." She tells them how the masks had all been carefully counterbalanced. When she releases them, they'll be free to pivot up or down depending on the weight of bullets they've received — going up for a majority of light, "liked" bullets; or down for a majority of heavier, "disliked" bullets. The top cancel out the bottom, and that left in the middle wins.
Zoe is as unaware of what the result might be as are the Survivors themselves. She takes a deep breath and slams a machete down on a rope, releasing a weight which pulls the pins holding the beams in place.
Diana's mask lifts proudly skyward. Janei's turns down just as quickly, seemingly depressed. Miriam's also drops, the two of them in similar predicaments. Shane's goes up markedly. Others are less dramatic, but tilt up and down. Zoe goes in for a closer inspection of the two which have moved the least and are closest to centre: Kelley's and Jon's. She makes her decision.
"Congratulations Jon! You have won Keyano's first reward!"
Jon's powerful reward is the ability to prevent one of his tribemates from taking part in the next immunity challenge — denying them any chance of winning immunity.

Very soon after he wins the reward, Jon finds himself confronted by Rick, Tabatha and Shane who all want to know what he's doing.
Rick congratulates Jon on his "awesome reward". Jon says he's not sure if it's a good thing for him to have. Rick insists otherwise, "especially right now when Paleo might get back on track with the original plan... are you game for that?"
Tabatha also hits him with the big question. "Who you thinkin' of puttin' the stop to?" She tells him that she knows who she would if she'd won. "I would put a Cree out. We know this person is strong and very influential."
Jon is worried that someone else from Paleo will "pull a Michelle." Rick tells him that's why they need to make sure the "player" in Cree isn't around, that the person who "got to Michelle ... doesn't get to another one of us." Rick assures Jon that a majority wants to get back to Paleo Pride; that Michelle was a "diversion."
Shane takes the direct approach, comes right out and asks Jon if he's picking Miriam.
Tabatha chuckles, thinking Shane has has no shame in how he plays.
Jon looks at them all. "Probably Miriam," he replies, sounding a bit intimidated by the three of them.
Walking away with Rick, Tabatha asks him if Shane has brought up the idea of bringing Diana into their alliance to replace Michelle. Rick says that of the remaining Paleo, she's the "fun one". Tabatha agrees; she likes Diana too so it's cool with her.
Rick has been thinking about the liked/disliked standings in the reward challenge. He's glad that he fit toward the middle and didn't receive the label of 'most popular' which might have made him a target. Diana was twice as popular as Shane and three times more popular than Rick, which might effect Rick's strategy.
Having a pretty good idea of how Jon will use his reward, Miriam says a good-luck to many of her Keyano tribemates, especially Diana. "I wish you the best on the challenge!"
Zoe welcomes Keyano to their third individual Immunity Challenge.
First business is the reward Jon had won. Zoe makes it official: Jon has chosen to use his reward to prevent Miriam from taking part in the immunity challenge. "You'll have to sit this one out... with no penalty, of course."
This challenge will be a tough one. Survivors will have to race back and forth collecting a series of large wooden puzzle-pieces, one at a time. The sixteen puzzle-pieces will lock together into four separate puzzles, which can be used as steps on a ladder. The Survivor to complete the puzzles and climb their ladder will win immunity.
Zoe starts the challenge and the Survivors are off and running — well, two of them are. Janei feels that she needs the immunity to keep herself safe, and Kelley just seems to enjoy the game. Jon, Tabatha and Shane aren't so enthusiastic, while Rick and Diana are almost arrogant in their lack of effort.
It is a foregone conclusion as to who wins. Janei wants immunity the most while the others are feeling completely secure, and so Janei is first to complete her ladder, almost collapsing at the platform on top from her exertion. Kelley is up right behind her, though one rung on her ladder looks a bit crooked. "Wow, Zoe!" Kelley exclaims inbetween breaths. "That was hard — fun though!"
Jon only has half of his ladder finished, as do Tabatha and Shane who were helping each other figure it out. Rick and Diana haven't even begun assembling the pieces.
Zoe calls the challenge. "I'd like to thank the two Survivors who put effort into this challenge." She commends Janei for doing the challenge perfectly. Kelley didn't get her pieces to fit the way the challenge had anticipated, but they did fit enough to hold Kelley's weight and so Zoe is allowing her solution. "I have decided to grant you both immunity this week! You deserve it!"
"Janei and Kelley are both safe tonight... the rest of you will be vulnerable at Tribal Council. See you there."

Rick congratulates Janei and Kelley on their "awesome" win.
Janei thanks Rick. "Good effort to those who tried and good luck, everyone."
Kelley thanks Zoe and everyone. "Best of luck!"
Rick chats with Tabatha, saying how Jon using his reward against Miriam really took "the pressure off of all of us." Since Miriam had no shot at immunity, they'd already accomplished their goal and only had to show up so they didn't forfeit their votes. They agree the plan is to vote Miriam. Rick alludes to Miriam "kissing everyone's behind" by wishing them all good luck, and mocks Miriam as he has the previous eliminations.
At the time, Miriam is chatting with Diana. Miriam knows that she's probably next, but wanted to say that she had a great time and she wishes Diana the best of luck. Diana claims that she hasn't heard from anyone, and it might be her, but Miriam knows. "That is why I was chosen to not get to do the challenge. It's okay."
Diana wishes that they could play another game together, and be on the same team. "Anyhow, don't write yourself off... you're still in the jury." Miriam realizes that she misses talking to Staton, so that will be nice.
Janei asks Shane about the vote. "I was kinda curious as to who people were going to target. My best guess is Miriam... unless there is something I don't know?" she asks, hopefully. Shane says that the majority he's talked to are voting Miriam, and asks her how she'll be voting. Janei plays-up Miriam wanting her out instead of Staton. "That alone makes a good reason as to why I should vote for her."
Janei tells Shane that she knows she is next to go if she doesn't win immunity, and that it seems there is nothing left for Miriam or her to do. Shane tells her that, "I just wish the team challenges went a little differently. Well, you know."
"Actually, I don't know," Janei says later in a confessional. "I just wish people would have maybe used Miriam and myself to their advantage and vote out some of the Paleo members. It would really have benefitted them." She says that the way they are playing, "is going to be more more cut-throat after Cree is nonexistent."
Good Evening Survivors.
"I bet you all were surprised that I gave out two immunities this week. I had planned to but just wasn't sure when to throw it at you. I decided as I was writing this one out that it was one of the hardest challenges I've given out, and that the two highest would get immunity. I think that surprises are fun and I have one that will freak you coming up so watch out."
Here are your votes for tonight:
MIRIAM
I really like Miriam, I'm just voting for her because my loyalties are with my original tribe. Best wishes in the future, Miriam, it was a pleasure meeting you!
(Kelley)
MIRIAM
My vote is for Miriam. In the short time you've been here, I found a friend and a great person to chat with (and a great player). Sorry to see you go.
(Diana)
SHANE
This vote goes to Shane because after you-know-who is gone, he is so next if not now.
I actually voted for Shane tonight for strategical reasons. I voted for him the TC Staton left and had him thinking I never did vote for him, someone from his own tribe did. Well since I have close to zero chance of surviving after this TC I am not leaving without a fight. If I tell Shane I voted for Miriam then I hope that he will trust me and think that there is someone really out there to get him, I hope my comment will get him paranoid and I will do my best to swing his vote and others to someone who is ready to break their alliance. Hey, it's worth a shot and if I don't try anything then I am going to regret it after I'm voted out.
(Janei)
MIRIAM
hate to do this because you such a great person. Hope to bump into you in the future
(Jon)
JON
Well..this is very, very hard...I hate to have to vote for any of you. This will probably be my final vote before jury, but Iwould like to at least explain why I am voting for you Jon. I vote for you only because you chose to keep me from doing the challenge. I "know" you didn't want to..but you had to. For the same reasons I have to vote for you. All of Paleo is awesome and I am sorry, but it was the only way I could vote fairly
(Miriam)
MIRIAM
My vote this evening is for Miriam.
She succeeded in breaking up Paleo for a moment. Brava to her! She is a strong player, and even if she weren't part of the 'Cree Plan', my vote would most likely be for her.
Great Game, Miriam.
(Rick)
MIRIAM
I'm sorry but my vote is for Miriam, she knew she was next in line. Have fun in what you do after the game. Hope we can still be friends afterwards.
(Shane)
MIRIAM
Shes very...sneaky and nice...so we have to get rid of the threats. Bye Miriam glad I got to play this game with you!
(Tabatha)
Miriam, the tribe has spoken. You have been eliminated from Survivor Canada 3 and have become the third Jury Member. We thank you for playing and hope you will watch the rest of the game.
