Seeking Employment in the United States

In order to work in the United States, you will need to have a "green card." See the U.S. Immigration and Naturalization Service website for more details.

Once you are eligible to work, there are numerous ways you can go about finding a job. Of course, one good way is to apply directly at businesses that perform the kind of work for which you are qualified. (Be sure, however, to consider whether your qualifications will be accepted overseas.) Another good way is to search several of the major job finding sites. Below, we have listed a few that you may find useful.

Online Job Finders

Monster.com

Temporary Employment Agencies

Most "temp" agencies can help you find permanent work as well as temporary positions. These agencies are a great place to start if you need entry-level type work. Some agencies will allow you to search for a job and apply online or they will be able to tell you if there is an office in your area. Below is a list of some well-established, nation-wide agencies:

Pro Staff
Kelly Services
AppleOne
Snelling
