Who are we and why this website?


In October 2000, Rado, a native-born South African, his American wife, LaVonne, and their baby son, David, returned to South Africa for an extended study-visit. Since then, they have been treated as curiosities and have often been bombarded with questions on life in the U.S. and on immigration. While completing a web design course, the couple had to produce a web site as a class project. Together, they created this site, devoted to providing information to prospective immigrants to the U.S., especially those from South Africa. They now reside in Phoenix,Arizona,USA. About Rado

Rado is a native-born South African, born and raised in Port Elizabeth. He has lived in the United States for almost five years and has also lived in Australia and has studied in Germany. He has a B.A.Honors in Political Science and a Master in City Planning. He is currently studying computer-related courses.

LaVonne is a United States citizen who was born in Kansas City, Missouri. She has lived in several states in the U.S., but has spent most of her life in Texas. In addition to living in South Africa and the U.S., she has also lived in Israel.
