Christianity and Jim Henson's "The Labyrinth"

" The Labyrinth" was directed by Jim Henson in 1986. This fantasy film incorporates humans with puppets, music, dance and breathtaking scenery. David Bowie plays the role of the goblin king who kidnaps a young child by the name of Toby after the child's sister wishes him away. Toby's sister, played by Jennifer Conolly must reach the center of a masive labyrinth full of desire and deceit to the king's castle. She is only given thirteen hours to complete the maze or the goblin king will turn Toby into a goblin and Sarah wiill lose her brother.
There are many references to Christainity throughout this movie, some of which are easier to detect. We see a close connection to Sarah and Eve with respect to forbidden fruit, seduction from evil, other states of concoiusness as well as self sacrifice.
