Diets
[Disordered]
A diet is only
as worthy as you make it. Effort counts here! I encourage making
up your own "diet." Set guidelines for yourself. Experiment.
Here are some of the guidelines I set for myself:
minimum
kcal intake: 140
maximum kcal intake: 700 (lowered to 500 after
a few months and now I'm just working under 1,000 until I can stabilize
my new eating style. I'm a vegan now. =) )
Negative
Calories
The most effective
diet in my opinion is the Negative Calorie Diet. It consists
of eating negative calorie foods. Well what the hell is a "negative
calorie food"??? The beauty of the thing is that these foods
use more calories to digest these foods than what the food actually
contains. Thus, you can burn calories simply by digesting this type
of food.
Note: Calories
are burned constantly.Never think that not exercising means that
you are not burning calories. Energy expenditure increases the burn
of calories.
Some
negative calorie foods are:
broccoli
lettuce
lemon
celery
onions
papaya
spinach
mango
cabbage
carrots
cauliflower
garlic
chives
turnip
zucchini
asparagus
beets
chili peppers
cucumbers
chicory
apples
cranberries
grapefruit
oranges
pineapple
pears
tangerines
raspberries
strawberries
blueberries
artichokes
green/red/yellow peppers
scallions
Here's a sample
of one of my meal plans:
Coffee - consisting
of fat free milk, with sweet n low and International Coffee Delight
creamer. OR, if I want to really avoid calories - Plain with sweet
n low
Apple - sweeeeet!
only 83 calories for a medium sized apple!
Carrots with
low fat dip - or skip the dip if you prefer it raw
WATER - always
Vegetables -
I love broccoli..leave me alone
Gum - speeds
up digestion and distracts me
Altoids - major
distraction..curiously strong ;) Will definitely occupy your mouth!
