Events: What are the main legends?
The Creation: This legend is known to all followers of the Hol.
Fall from Grace/Realities of Corruption: All members of the faithful know the story of the first mortals who were corrupted by demonic influences after having been given life by the Hol.
The Battle of Ka'llaam: This is a famous battle in the War by the Sword.  An army of the Hol was up against a numerically superior foe near the Akkatomian City-States.  After a long, tiring campaign through the desert, the Army of the Hol was near exhaustion and completely out of water, supplies, and reinforcements.  On the third day of battle, the army was almost completely destroyed.  That night, General Ka'llaam prayed to the Elysians for deliverance from his predicament.  At dawn the next morning during prayer, the army camp was visited by a local boy, the son of a farmer, who wished to convert to the faith of the Hol.  He was immediately blessed by the army's priest and given a sword to help them fight.  During that day's battle, the boy was seen all across the battlefield, delivering vengeful blows against the enemies of the Hol.  The spirit of the enemy army was destroyed and they fled the field, leaving the city-state to the army, who proceeded to convert all the citizens.  The area was renamed the City-State of Ka'llaam in honor of the general who brought them victory.  The general, however, swore for the rest of his life that he had been assisted by Ji'rezzial, the Avenger of the Hol.  The anniversary of the battle, the 21st of Khast (Kastil) is still celebrated as a major holiday.
The Djinn Army: Most followers of the religion believe that there is a wandering army of powerful Djinn roaming the desert and willing to come to the aid of those in need.
Holy Days: The Main Holy Days
The 1st of Akfar (Alfite), the first day of the new year and a time of consecration toward the banishment of corruption
The 28th of Al Bik (Albicene), the last day of the Month of Sacrifice (when followers are supposed to give up or sacrifice a different thing each day; common sacrifices include alcohol, money, food, land, jewels, etc.).
The 13th of Sawar, the "Night of Salvation" when the Hol is said to receive the spirits of all those mortals who died in the past year to become part of the Spiritual Army.
The 1st of Akar (Atki), The Festival of the Planting (non-nomadic cultures only)
The 17th of Ren (Rendur), the Celebration of the Djinn
The 1st of Durki (Darkel), the Festival of the Harvest (non-nomadic cultures only)
The 21st of Khast (Kastil), the Battle of Ka'llaam (see above under "Events").
The 18th of Drani (Danisen), the Celebration of the Elysians.

As noted under Bhuwani, most members of the Hol faith now use the more common western calendar with the four great festivals to mark the change in seasons.
