| the raven path warrrior is relatively gregarious, moving in groups with several other warriors. They have keen sense and make excellent guards. The dark clothing of the raven path warrios gives them a sombre look, and in truth their mood oftentimes matches their appearance. Of all of the warrior paths, the path of the raven seems to attract ill-content youths who strive to find their place in the world. As such, they can be unpredictable both in and out of combat, and they are known for getting into frequent petty fights and squabbles. The masters of the raven path discourage this behavior and seek to help the students gain self-respect and a greater understanding of themselves and their heritage. Suggested Skills: Bluff, Listen, Spot Suggested Feats: Alertness, Combat Expertise, Dodge, Improved Feint Suggested PrCs: Raven Path Master (custom) Monk The concept of rigorous monastic training does not usually match well with the more free-spirited eha-Alfr. As a people, they are less likely to apply themselves to a strict training regimen required of most monks. Among the pureblooded Alfr and Jindu, however, monks are more common. The light frame of the elves makes them quick in combat, and they excel at techniques that involve quick movement and avoiding being hit. It is thought that at one time, each subrace of the purebloods had their own unique style of monastic training. Unfortunately, if those secrets did exist at one point, they have now been lost to the mists of time. Most current elf monastic skills bear a close resemblance to those of the Bellin goblins of Nur. Murchs's Guardian (Jade Elf variant): The Murchs's Guardians are part of a monastic society that focuses on purity of mind and spirit and the elimination of arcane magick. The origins of the order are unknown to all, but it is known that the order is very ancient, for its symbols have been found marking archaic ruins dating back thousands of years. Although it is a purely elven order, the Bellin claim that they actually created the style and that the Murchs's Guardians are but shadows of the true potential of the style. The Murchs's Guardians care little for this debate, as they are solely focused on their task of hunting down and destroying arcane spellcasters, and protecting the common people from the magical power of wyrds and wizards. All Murch's Guardians wear a special bladed weapon fitted into a glove in their left hand. As they advance in the order, they learn techniques for dispelling magical effects and banishing unnatural magical creatures back to their home. Suggested Skills: Gather Information, Knowledge (arcana), Tumble Suggested Feats: Dodge, Iron Will Suggested PrCs: Murchs's Guardian (custom) Paladin The adherence to law and order required by the paladin makes the class, similar to the monk, not very suitable to the carefree lifestyles of the average eha-Alfr. Most eha-Alfr can be considered "good at heart", however, and so one may find paladins among them. Usually these noble elves are former paladins who have grown tired of acting as the stalwart champion of law and order, and instead drifted into other careers. Among the more serious minded purebloods, the path of the paladin is one of honor, and to receive "the call" to serve is considered a sacred duty that cannot be turned away. Orders of holy warriors are extremely rare among the traditional pureblood faiths. Instead, most Alfr and Jindu paladins are lone operatives, each carrying out the duties of the paladin as they see fit. Order of the Ishari Lier (Pureblood Elf variant): These holy warriors, known as Seekers, are a small group of pureblood elf holy warriors dedicated to the recovery and protection of ancient secrets known only to the purebloods. While a martial order, the Seekers are also scholars and academics and spend a considerable amount of time learning extinct languages and researching topics in forgotten texts. Suggested Skills: Decipher Script, Diplomacy, Knowledge (history) Suggested Feats: Librarian, Aura of Protection, Philologist Suggested PrCs: Many Seekers multi-class as wizards or are former bards, and eventually take levels in the Loremaster prestige class. Ranger Rangers fill many roles on the World Continent of Samoth, acting as military scouts, masters of the hunt for the nobility, and slayers of fiendish beasts. The natural agility of the eha-Alfr matches quite well with the ranger's training of lightly armored and stealthy combat techniques. Eha-Alfr rangers take pride in their skills and abilities, bringing an aura of civility, and some would say haughtiness, to this otherwise rustic career choice. Noble elf rangers often hire themselves out as mercenaries for the military, or as "slayers for hire", specializing in hunting and killing specific types of creatures. Among the pureblood elves, however, rangers focus more on the spiritual elements of the class, concentrating on their roles as wilderness protectors and perfecting their ties to nature and its magick. Sacred Guardian (Pureblood Elf variant): These pureblood elf rangers become protectors of a specific piece of terrain, such as a forest, desert, river, or mountain. Much less martial than standard rangers, these guardians oftentimes have a pureblood elf shaman or druid tutor, who instructs them in the ways of nature magic and the spirit world.
