The Shadows are a strange offshoot breed of the Lasombra, created inadvertantly by Tomsk and Quicksilver, by injecting the Hunter serum, GW-2033, into a newly Embraced Lasombra. Capable of breeding at a rapid rate, and requiring approximately ten times as much blood as a normal Cainite requires, the Shadows, masters of Obtenebration, are a fearsome force to be reckoned with. Resembling gothic gargoyles made from rock-solid tar, the creatures are able to fly naturally, meld with surfaces, and can carry many times their own body weight. Coldly logical and often whimsically philosophical, they are nevertheless killers. Led by the original Shadow, which Tomsk created from a homeless man he Embraced, the bloodline, which acted more like a twisted family, flocked into the Quicksilver building - the place their progenitor had been created in |

- and swiftly devoured the workforce and filled the entire building with shadow and darkness. It was unfortunate, therefore, that the Alliance, in their final stand against the dark god, Lord Arrakon, sought the Red Orb - an artefact that was Arrakon's manifestation within the physical realm - within Quicksilver. Having already claimed the unlife of Tomsk's childe, Bungo, who had joined the ranks of the Shadows some time before, Tomsk looked to be next, as he and some companions from the Alliance embarked on the mission inside the building. However, it was Sir Daniel Fortesque who fell this time to the Shadows. Tomsk and Alice were successful in finding and destroying the Red Orb, but did not destroy all of the Shadows, who still currently inhabit the Quicksilver building. |
