Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones (2002) Sutradara: George Lucas Composer: John Williams Tema
baru yang sangat indah dan memorable di sini adalah love theme yang muncul
terutama di Across The Stars (Love Theme) dan di track Love Pledge and The
Arena. Selain itu yang juga menjadi highlight adalah tema untuk tokoh jahat,
pertama kali terdengar di track pertama menit ketiga, dan diulang setiap kali
tokoh jahatnya muncul. Tema ini sama dengan tema utama film Darkman dari Danny Elfman di tahun
1990, kemungkinan keduanya terinspirasi oleh Alexander Nevsky karya Sergey Prokofiev. Confrontation
with Count Dooku and Finale yang sangat panjang menjadi ringkasan semua musik
Star Wars, ada musik dari The Phantom Menace, Imperial March dari The
Empire Strikes Back, dari score ini sendiri dan lain-lain. Tidak semua yang di film ada di album ini. Kaset dan
CD-nya tersedia di Indonesia. Judul track ke-14 dari album ini (bonus track)

Score (2001) Sutradara: Steven Spielberg Composer: John Williams A.I. mendapat nominasi
Academy Award untuk Best Music (Score) namun pemenangnya adalah The Lord
of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring dari Didengarkan
bersama filmnya, score dari John Williams ini luar biasa. Filmnya sendiri
masuk kategori must buy, salah satu karya terbaik Stanley Kubrick-Steven
Spielberg (dan John Williams). For Always, yang
dinyanyikan Lara Fabian dan versi duetnya dengan Josh Groban, sungguh indah.
Action track di score ini adalah The Moon Rising, musik dramatis yang
mengiringi adegan penangkapan Mechas. Track yang mengharukan antara lain

Wars, A Composer: John Williams Star Wars kemungkinan besar
adalah film pertama yang ditonton di bioskop, dimulai dengan teks kuning
menjauh yang entah apa artinya tapi musiknya sungguh megah, membawa masuk ke
dunia lain… Filmnya
menjadi adalah salah satu film yang paling sering ditonton. Dimulai dari SD,
sudah tak terhitung berapa kali video Betamax-nya ditonton. Ketika Special
Edition-nya dirilis, film ini ditonton di bioskop tiga-empat kali sampai
kemudian VCD-nya dirilis. Favorit:
source music yang klasik di Cantina Band dan Cantina Band #2, Princess Leia’s
Theme yang indah, The Millennium Falcon/Imperial Cruiser Pursuit yang sudah
didengar ratusan jam di game Star Wars: Rebellion, The Death Star/The
Stormtroopers yang menjadi cikal bakal Imperial March, The Trash Compactor,
Ben Kenobi’s Death/TIE Fighter Attack yang seru (the second-best SW action
track?), musik adegan puncak di The Battle of Yavin, dan favorit berat The
Throne Room/End Title. Bagus juga: Main Title/Rebel Blockade Runner yaitu
musik Star Wars yang pertama kali didengar, dan The Moisture Farm di mana

biasa… Favorit berat: Theme from Schindler’s List, Jewish Town (Krakow Ghetto
– Winter ’41), Immolation (With Our Lives, We Give Life), Remembrances, OYF’N
Pripetshok and Nacht Aktion, I Could Have Done More, Stolen Memories, Give Me
Your Names, Yeroushalaim Chel Zahav (Jerusalem of Gold), Remembrances (with

menit termasuk tema-tema baru, dan William Ross mengaransemen ulang musik
dari Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone. Berikut ini kutipan dari
John Williams: I love
that (Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone) assignment because, in a way, it
was like an opera -- it was an opportunity to make a theme for Harry and for
Hedwig the owl. Like the 'Star Wars' series, in going to film No. 2, I had
the opportunity -- or even the obligation -- to continue using the themes
from Film 1 and add to the body of themes for Film 2. In the case of 'Chamber
of Secrets,' I was able to expand that glossary, if you will. I was able to
write a theme for the Chamber of Secrets itself, as well as for Fawkes, the
phoenix and Moaning Myrtle. So there are half a dozen major themes added to

Catch Me If You Can dan Catch Me If You Can (Reprise and End Credits), The
“Float”, The Airport Scene (‘action’ track), Learning the Ropes (track
panjang yang lumayan bagus), The Flash Comics Clue dan A Broken Home. Terdapat
beberapa lagu yang dianggap klasik yang dimasukkan ke album ini seperti Come
Fly With Me yang dibawakan Frank Sinatra, The Girl from Ipanema oleh Stan Getz

Williams Kutipan dari John Williams: The film had a little more serious
atmosphere to it, and it also had some zany things in it that I loved; the
Aunt Marge balloon sequence and the night bus sequence that I called sort of
a concerto for hubcaps and orchestra -- that was a lot of fun to do. Musiknya di film
benar-benar sesuai, melodinya indah, terutama tema Double Trouble, bintang Main theme film
ini adalah Double Trouble, namun sayang versi trailer-nya yang lebih bagus
tidak masuk ke dalam album ini. Lainnya yang menarik adalah A Window to the
Past untuk adegan-adegan yang berkenaan dengan masa lampau dan Hagrid the
Professor, dua-duanya mengingatkan pada medieval music, serta Buckbeak’s

Williams Apakah ini film terjelek Spielberg? Ceritanya maksa,
sequence-nya banyak yang tidak logis, beberapa aktingnya jelek dan lain-lain
walau ada juga moments yang bagus. The
Terminal cukup dinikmati soundtrack-nya saja, tidak perlu filmnya.
Track favorit antara lain adalah track dengan tema Viktor Navorski yaitu The
Tale of Viktor Navorski dan reprise-nya serta A Happy Navorski Ending.
Crescendo, orkestrasinya makin lama makin megah. Love theme-nya indah: Dinner
with Amelia dan “Destiny”… “Canneloni”. Selain itu ada pula national anthem
yaitu source music yang diputar di adegan siaran berita di TV: Krakozhia
National Anthem and Homesickness. Homesickness ini adalah salah satu cue

Williams Dari Movie Wave yang sangat cocok: War of the Worlds is a rare
Williams score with no real main theme, but it isn't hampered by that at all.
Williams's writing has reached such a mature level he seems to continually be
able to project an elegant voice even with frenetic action music (I can't
think of another film composer who does it so eloquently) which means the
music never becomes unattractive, even when it is rather oppressive. His
writing for orchestra is just as strong as ever - there always seems to be so
much going on, never a wasted note, always something new to discover on each
new listen. Each new track brings something new to the table. This is a score
which, more than most, benefits from repeated listens: there is such a rich
detail to it that the more you listen, the more you hear. Even though it is
very dark music, it is never unlistenable, and at one hour the album seems
the perfect length - and it's wonderfully produced, flowing very well from

adalah tema utama yang memorable tapi tema lainnya yaitu The Chairman’s Waltz
yang dibawakan oleh Itzhak Perlman, lebih menarik. JW membuat tema waltz yang
punya asosiasi kuat dengan Eropa untuk si Chairman yang di film pun ‘lebih
Eropa daripada Jepang’. Saking Eropa-nya,
kalau tema ini masuk ke Schindler’s
List sepertinya cocok. Tema indah ini
juga muncul di The Garden Meeting. Track lainnya yang
menarik: Going to School, Becoming a Geisha, Confluence yang merupakan
aransemen terbaik dari Sayuri’s theme, dan Sayuri’s Theme and End Credits. JW membuat beberapa
track yang sangat Jepang misalnya Brush on Silk dan Dr. Crab’s Prize (accompanying
