Religion is a potent force that has and continues to shape Kryastal's history.  Wars have been fought and people have been united over religion.  Thus countless lives have been taken and saved in its name.  The major religious orders are dedicated to the worship of the three high gods:  Tenaria, Kuladar, and Gaea.  Though its priests and priestesses can sway great masses with their words, they are forbidden from taking up weapons, but there are those who can.
A cleric, or warrior priest, worships and serves one of the gods of the realm just as a priest would.  These religious fighters, like priests, have the ability to cast spells through prayer to their respective deity.  The magic that results comes directly from the deity's own power.  At any time, the god may choose to deny the cleric's prayer leaving them powerless.  Clerics, as priests, are typically masters of public speaking and storytelling.  They use these abilities to dazzle and attract followers to their deity.
The Kalame is the name of the order dedicated to the High Goddess Tenaria, goddess of light, goddess of healing.  They took their name from an ancient book of Tenaria's teachings, the Kalasume or "Book of Light and Truth".  It teaches of the ways of the righteous.  Most of the world's population belongs to this religion.  Seemingly every town has a temple in her name whether it be big or small.  If you ever find yourself in bad shape, seek the nearest temple and they will make you right as rain.  However, don't cross them or they'll be the Dimulata to pay.
Seeing their way as the only correct one, these priests have caused much death and pain.  In the ancient days, they would burn and torture mages and non-believers as heretics in an almost festive-like atmosphere.  This would come to an end as result of
Izneria's formal adoption of the mages as his followers.  The Kalame still maintain their hostile view of mages, but will not openly attack mages.  They have come to learn that Izneria and Lord Ryder Salice will not tolerate those actions.  Even the Kalame have sense enough not to anger those gods.
The Carpe` Nacht worships the god of darkness, High God Kuladar.  They worship him with as much zeal as the Kalame worship the Light Goddess.  This order, unlike its counterpart, does not breed hate. Oddly enough they leave most of the world to its own devices.  They seek only one thing truly, the return of Kuladar to the mortal realm.  Kuladar was sealed within the Dimulata by Ryder Salice near the end of the Age of Mortals.  Kuladar had attempted to overthrow the other gods.  This time was known as the Dark Wars.  Since then they have worked to bring back their god.  This makes them enemies of most of the population.
The main practice of their clerics and priests is in dark magic, specifically the undead and necrology.  They study and utilize the dead as an artificer would utilize a piece of metal.  During the First Age, a high priestess set loose vampirism upon the world.  She had asked her god to be made immortal.  Vampirism is a curse to some and a blessing to others.  It should be noted that though born of dark magic, all vampires are nor evil.  There is a sect of vampires who worship Tenaria called the Kalaneisse(Holy Darkness), however these are rare among the vampiric race.
The Carpe` Nacht is quite different from the Kalame in one other way:  it pulls its members from all classes of society.  While the Kalame's higher members are only from the nobility of the land, their's are farmers as well as nobles.  To sum it up, there is an inscription on the alters of Carpe` Nacht temples, "Those in the light have become blinded to all else but it, but to those in darkness there is only the voice of truth."

Druids are cleric-preists dedicated to the worship of nature and the earth goddess, Gaea, and have existed for many millenia throughout all of Kryastal.  While clerics in the respect that they take up arms for their cause, they abhor violence and engage in combat only if necessary.  They live in all climates on all continents from the edges of the virtually uninhabitable tundra of Kagero's Heart to the lush forests of Nepana, from the rolling, fertile plains of Akudrim to the burning, inhospitable sands of Kagero's Wrath.  Though druids do reside in all places, most of the population has never had any direct contact with them, at least to their knowledge.  This is because of the highly secretive nature of this religious order.  They mainly keep to themselves and the natural world they hold sacred. There have been druids who have taken up residence in frontier towns and villages to serve as healers and advisors on how best to use the land and its resources while maintaining the natural balance.  It is the balance of good and evil that exists in nature which exemplifies what they are and what they strive for.
