Notes:
The only Peter Baugh listed in the U.S. in the 1820 Federal Census, is in Capt Thomas Bustins District, Putnam, GA, and lists his age as 16-26, which is probably an error; it shows himself and one other male, age 16-18, 2 females, and 4 slaves, engaged in agriculture.

Along with his mother, Maryann Baugh, Peter won land in the 1821 land lottery.  Peter's was in Dooly County, land lot #177, section 11.  Peter's residence at that time was in Greene County, Catos Militia District. 4

Listed as age 40-50, with 4 other males, 3 females, and 2 slaves in the household in the 1830 Federal Census, Greene, GA.

Listed as age 50-60, with 7 other males and 3 females in the household in the 1840 Federal Census, District 104, Hancock, GA (number of slaves indeterminant).

Listed as a farmer in the 1850 Federal Census, and the owner of 14 slaves in the 1850 Slave Schedules, District 103, Hancock, GA.

Wife Jane widowed and listed as a planter in the 1860 Federal Census, Hancock, GA; Benjamin and John E. (James E) still listed in household.

Spouse: JANE P. GORDON* b. 1 May 1798, NC d. between 1870-1880.
