Mentioned in father's will. Middle initial 'P' believed to be Parish, according to will. Parish may be a middle name or a previous marriage. She would have been about 23 years old when she married Peter Baugh, but no record has yet been found of any previous marriage.

Husband Peter listed as a farmer in the 1850 Federal Census, and the owner of 14 slaves in the 1850 Slave Schedules, District 103, Hancock, GA.

Widowed and listed as a planter in the 1860 Federal Census, Hancock, GA; Benjamin and John E. (James E) still listed in household.

Son James E. listed as a carpenter living in Jane's household in the 1870 Federal Census, District 103, Hancock, GA (indexed as Bough); his wife is not listed, but her sister Mary A. Smith, teacher, age 19, is living in the household.
