Will of Peter Baugh (IV)

WILL:
(16 October 1853, Hancock Co., GA, Will Book S, pages 337-338; information provided by Loretta June Shackelford-Wright); unable to determine at this time if the errors noted are in the original will, or in the transcription of same.)
In the name of God-Amen.  I Peter Baugh of the County of Hancock and State of Georgia being weak in body but of sound and perfect mind and memory blessed by Almighty God for the same do publish this my last will and testimony (testament) in manner and forum (form) following:

First: I give and bequeath unto my wife Jane P. Baugh during her natural life all of my property except such as I do here in (herein) otherwise dispose of.
I do hereby give and devise to my eldest son William G. Baugh his heirs and assigns all my interest share and title in a tract of land situated lying and being in the county of Hancock and State of
aforsiad (aforesaid) owned by the said William G. Baugh and myself jointly and upon which the said William G. Baugh now resides with all my other property and interest on said farm with the exception of my negro man Sam, the said William G. Baugh to take the said property at the appraised value.  After the death of my wife Jane P. Baugh I will and bequeath unto my son James E. Baugh, Richard H. Baugh and Benjamin F. Baugh and my daughter Sarah J. Baugh each a portion of my property equal to the amount I have already given to my sons William G. Baugh and John A. Baugh respectively, the remainder to be equally divided amongst all my children.

Lastly it is my will that my negro man Charles and wife Amelia shall not be parted or separated during their lives.

I do hereby appoint my wife Jane P. Baugh Executrix and my son James E. Baugh Executor of this my last will and testament hereby revoking all
forums (forms) wills by me made.

In Witness whereof I have
here unto (hereunto) let my hand and seal the 16 day of October in the year of the (our?) Lord 1853 signed and published declared by the above name(d) Peter Baugh to be his last will and testament.  In the prescene (presence) of who at his request have here unto (hereunto) subscribed our names as witness to the same.

CODICIL:
I Peter Baugh make and publish this Codicil to my last will and
testimony (testament) in the manner following. Viz:
I give to my beloved wife Jane P. Baugh
an (in) addition to what I have already given her my part of the present year's crop under on the plantation on which William G. Baugh now resides it being the one half which in my last will and testimony (testament) I give to my son William G. Baugh and lastly.  It is my desire that this my present Codicil be amended to and become a part of my last will and testament to all interest and purpose.  In witness whereof I have here unto (hereunto) set my hand and seal this 18 day of October in the year of our Lord 1854.  Signed, Sealed and published by the said Peter as a Codicil to his last will and Testimony (testament) in the prese (presence) of
