Don't you just hate Christmas? I know I do. There's just something nauseatingly fake and horrid about everyone spouting off about christmas spirit joy to the world and all that rubbish when every other day of the year they'd all be owning up to being their usual selfish stupid selves. And I am not saying I am any better than that mind you. But at least you won't find me running around pretending that a holiday originating from a lie and perpetuated by commercialism is changing how I think in any way shape or form. And I really hate the present thing. Sure it's always nice to get them but really I don't care and I wish everyone else could just leave it at that. But no christmas is the season of giving so sure you can be a grinch and not get anyone anything and then when you don't actually don't get anything we won't accept that that's what you said we'll just decide you're an evil bastard. But by the time you add up everyone expecting to get something that's a lot of money for someone who doesn't have much and anyway I always do make an effort for those one or two closest to me but why should my family get anything? And anyway I know I am just a horrid no fun kind of person but ultimately I believe that my outlook that it should not matter what time of year it is to be nice and maybe even give a pressie is probably more user friendly for the other 364 days of the year. And yes I can be nice but it just pisses me off that there's this expectancy at christmas to behave a certain way do certain things and no free will in a practical sense, so really the whole christmas spirit is simply conforming to the masses based on extrinsic social factors rather than any real intrinsic values. Which is not to say there aren't people out there who really are nice people but the genuine ones do so all year round. I won't start on the christmas carols. But that's more a personal taste thing I guess which I get from a lot of similarly styled family oriented public events. If anyone knows Korns version of Jingle Bells you'll know the limitations of the sort of carols I intend to listen to if at all. Anyway I can't wait until it's all over. Santa is doing a marvellous job of spreading evil and hypocrisy in the guise of goodness and I'll do my best to stay the hell away from it all. Merry Bloody Christmas
