The Snake in the Grass:Extremely cheap and unfair, the snake in the grass is used by the lowest, most uncreative lowlifes in the known galaxy. Commonly used during the mid-70's in the underground scene, it made its mark on one cursed aboveground tournament in 1978, the aboveground scene immediately made the move illegal, and the underground scene quickly followed (the manuever was banned before ever being seen in the Celebrity Thumbwrestling scene). The move consists of pinning your opponents thumb with your index finger as he attempts to perform a trap. Its called thumbwrestling for a reason people, we're not just finger wrestling here. 2. The Trap:Outside of the basic pin the trap is the most essential move employed by thumbwrestlers. The trap was first seen in 1915 just one year after the invention of the sport. The move consists of placing your thumb on top of your index finger in order to bait your opponent to pin you. When the pin is attempted you move your thumb on top of the one attempting to pin you. The better a wrestler can pin, the more succesful he is.
