| Home Page Underground Thumbwrestling Scene Aboveground Thumbwrestling Scene | Thumbwrestling AbovegroundThe aboveground scene, filled with talent and fame hungry wrestlers such as Juan Julio Rodriguez, is more eye catching than a female streaker in Afghanistan. Most fascinating of all, however, are the wrestlers preparing to twittle in the 2004 Olympics. Being the origin of thumbwrestling, one would tend to believe that Lichtenstein would have a red-carpeted path to the gold medal, however, this is not the case. Twittling for Lichtenstein's olympic thumbwrestling team is a little like playing football for Celina, you can beat up on all that awful small-town talent, but everyone knows if you ever played anyone who could twittle a little you wouldn't stand a chance. The United States and Russia have more solid twittlers than Picasso's has paint, and appear prepared to rekindle a little of that cold war competitive spirit in some high excitement thumbwrestling matches that should decide the destination of the gold medal. Mexico's Juan Julio seen below is flashy, but absolutely terrible. He has compiled a 1-94 overall record, beating only his 9 year old son in a thriller that decided who would have to mow and who would get away with edging whitey's lawn.![]() Send e-mail to:[email protected] |
