him, he got a box containing money.
Day 7
Angela explains Doortje the next challenge. She has to
explain it to one of the other two groups. It's a challenge for 5000 gilders. Doortje
is in a balloon. She can phone group 1 (Nazife, Yvonne and Sigrid)
who are in a car (with Sigrid being the driver) they can see the balloon.
Group 2 (Nico
, Cor
and Dan) are in another place waiting in the car (Dan is the
driver here). They can't see the balloon, but they do have contact with group 1.
Group 1 has to explain the challenge to group 2. If both groups can touch the
basket from the balloon within 15 minutes after it has landed, they win the
challenge.
The balloon departs. Doortje calls group 1 and gets Nazife on the
phone. She explains her the challenge. Nazife:"Yes, we can see
the balloon, but first we're gonna find out where we are, and we'll call the
other group. But we can see you from here." Nazife then tries to
call group 2. Group 2 is just waiting in the car. They're talking to each other.
Doortje:"I'm flying over a railway now." Yvonne
finds the railway on the map. Sigrid:"The other group really has
to start now!" Yvonne:"Nazife! Quick call them!"
<Confession:
Nazife:"I had 2 phones and I tried to reach two numbers with both
of them, but it didn't work, because it was out of reach. Their phone was out of
reach."
Sigrid:"With the calling, I was thinking 'Why does it have to
take so long to get in contact with the other group?'."
Nazife:"I think Sigrid might have thought I was the
Mole...">
Nazife:"Guys, where's the repeat button?" Yvonne:"Just
dial the entire number!"
Group 2 is still waiting in the car.
Doortje:"Yvonne, I'm going very fast, can you still see me?"
Yvonne:"No, we don't see you at the moment, but just tell me
what you see beneath you." Doortje:"Actually, nothing
but meadows. And to the right of me..." Yvonne:"Doortje,
listen, I don't know which way is left or right for you." Doortje:"My
back is turned to the sun." Yvonne:"OK that's what I
need to know. Keep standing with your back at the sun each time you give
information."
Group 2 is still talking. Cor gets interrupted by the cell phone in
the glove department of the car. Dan takes it and gives it to Nico.
Nazife:"Hi Nico, we couldn't reach you!" Sigrid:"Just
tell them to start right now!" Nazife:"Where are
you?" Nico:"We're at the hotel..." (the line
gets interrupted)
Nazife:"You have to drive away immediately." And Dan
starts the car and drives off.
Nazife:"Doortje is in a balloon, and..." Sigrid:"No!
You don't have to tell them that. They have to drive!" Nazife:"Yeah!
They are driving already!"
Nico:"Nazife can you hear me?Naz... Nazife?" There's
a bad connection again. Or is this some mole activity?
Dan is driving very hard and violently. Nico:"Don't do
this Dan or I'll go crazy!"
<Confession:
Cor:"Dan was wild and panicking and Nico went crazy of it."
Nico:"At a certain moment he was driving with the phone in
one hand and the compass in the oth
er
hand. I got so angry I could just smash that phone through his head."
End of confession>
Doortje:"I'm passing a small village to the
left." Yvonne:"Do you see water too?"
Nazife:"Can you speak a little bit louder Nico?"
<Confession:
Nico:"The directions we got, weren't very clear. The connection
was bad. That could mean that it was a bad network, but someone could have done
it too."
End of confession>
Nazife:"You have to drive to road 92-47." Dan drives to that road.
<Confession:
Doortje:"I suddenly felt a very hard shock and I didn't know what
was about to happen. Then I thought 'Hey, I'll survive, because people
have been doing this so many times'."
End of confession>
The balloon has landed in a meadow. Doortje:"We
have landed. I'm covered with cow dung and I'm standing between some cows. To
the right of me there's a forest."
They have 15 minutes left. Nico calls Nazife. Nico:"No
we're not stuffing up! Do we have to go to coordinates 91-47? OK!" And
they drive along.
Doortje (still on the phone with Yvonne):"I'm between a
farm with a red roof and a mast. And I think I see you guys right now!"
Nazife:"Nico? Thank God, I couldn't reach you guys! Did you
arrive at the roundabout?" Dan:"I'm now turning in that
street."
Doortje (to Yvonne):"If you see the mast, that's where
you have to drive in the meadow." Yvonne:"I only
see sheep and cows
right
now..." Doortje:"Do you see the red farm?" Yvonne:"Yeah
actually, I do see a red roof over there." Doortje:"I'm straight
opposite of that farm!" Yvonne:"Jeezes! Sigrid, turn the
car!" Doortje:"You have 10 seconds left..."
They're out of time... Doortje:"This is £*ck!
Goddamnit."
Doortje (to Yvonne on phone):"Yep, I can see you
driving past me now." Yvonne:"Oh.... great..."
Weren't Doortje's directions clear enough? Was it because of
communication problems between the women and the men? Or was it all because of
the wind?
Doortje to Sigrid:"The wind was blowing very hard..."
<Confession:
Sigrid:"We were very close. I thought we would make it. But that
became an anti-climax." End of confession>
The men arrive at the scene. Angela gives some more comment and
then suggests to quickly leave the shit-filled meadow.
Doortje and Sigrid turn to walk off, but Cor wants everyone
to wait. Cor:"I want to know something first. Someone said we had
to drive to the roundabout and take the first yellow road to the left. After
that no one has ever said a thing anymore! And we are driving to the 706! I want
to know who was it that didn't tell us anything anymore!"
<Confession:
Sigrid:"He sees the game as 'We are gonna catch that Mole
together.' But we are searching for the Mole individually and if something would
happen, I would keep it to myself and won't tell it to the group." End
of confession>
Cor:"OK! That's settled!" Doortje:"OK!" Cor:"Look I'm not doing this for myself, but for the rest too! We were guided to this place perfectly. At the T-crossing to the right and the nwe didn't hear a thing anymore! And we have passed this place three times! Because no one told us anything. I can ask that, can't I?"
<Confession:
Yvonne:"Everybody goes crazy sometimes and I told Cor I was glad
to see e had such a reaction too. I was glad to see he was human too." End
of confession>
Day 8
Glasgow - Mitchell Library
The contestants get cryptic clues to find a book. In that book they will find a
map with a time indication. A taxi is driving around town and will stop on the
place and time indicated on the map. The taxi will stop at 7 different places.
If 5 of the 7 contestants can get on, they win 7.500 gilders.
1)Find a handbook about the missing word in the following sentence: "It's a
struggle for life, ... of the fittest."
Dan:"Survival! Darwin!"
They search on the computer for the word survival. Doortje finds a
handbook about survival on the computer and Yvonne tries to find it in
the library. She can't find it, so everyone helps her. The taxi is on its way to
the first stop and will wait for 1 minute. They have to find the book quickly or
else they will already miss the first stop. Eventually, Yvonne does find
it and she runs off.
2) Kit, Herbie and Christine need a new color.
They know it has something to do with cars.
Meanwhile we see that the taxi is already waiting. The driver gets out and draws
a cross on the ground. This means that they have missed the first stop. As the
taxi drives away, we see Yvonne arriving. She has been running very hard
in the rain and now she has to go all the way back to the library.
<Confession:
Dan:"The poor child had been running very hard and she said she
just missed the taxi. So she saw it driving away."
Nico:"I think she lied."
Dan:"I'm prepared to believe her."
Nico:"If anyone would have been on time, it would've been
her." End of confession>
Nazife finds the book 'How to paint a car' and runs to
the second stop.
3) Al dente e crossa
Nazife can get to the
taxi. She gets in, sits down and says:"I don't get it..."
<Confession:
Nazife:"I was running to the wrong direction. I saw I already was
out of time, so I was heading back to the library, but then I saw I could still
make it to the taxi, so I ran back and I made it." End of
confession>
Nazife to the driver:"You didn't pick up anyone
else?"
Yvonne arrives back at the library and explains everything to Dan.
Yvonne:"To my surprise, Doortje had some critical questions about
me having missed the taxi."
Doortje:"I found it vague that Yvonne didn't make it. She
didn't tell us much about it either."
Cor finds the next book and runs to the third stop.
4) This modern Einstein writes about black holes.
Stephen Hawkin writes about black holes in the universe. Dan searches the
book.
Meanwhile the taxi has arrived at the third stop. Nazife is leaning out
of the window and yelling. But no one arrives.
Dan finds the book very quickly. The contestants are getting on schedule,
so their chances are getting bigger.
5) He is among us.
Doortje:"The Mole!" And they all try to find the book.
Meanwhile the driver of the taxi draws a cross on the ground and drives away. Nazife
then sees Cor standing at the corner. Nazife:"Shit, he's
there! He's there! Is that the next stop? Oh my God!" She 
opens
the window and y
ells to Cor,
but there's nothing either of them can do. All the remaining contestants have to
get on the taxi now.
Sigrid finds the book 'The Mole' very fast and heads off.
6) Even Norway and Japan are on the right track.
This has something to do with whale hunting. Doortje finds the book and
runs to the stop. Meanwhile Dan is on time. He runs to the taxi and gets
in:"This doesn't make sense!" Nazife:"Indeed it
doesn't!"
7) An animal which got extinct because of the Dutch people.
Yvonne and Nico are left. They try to find the book. Three more
stops to go. Sigrid and Doortje are on their way and Nico
still is at the library. He finds the last book and goes to the last stop. Now
everyone is searching or waiting. Cor still hasn't arrived back at the
library. Suddenly, Nico enters the library again:"I don't get it.
I don't know where I have to go to."
<Confession:
Nico:"I had to arrive at a viaduct, but I got to a totally
different place. So before anyone could blame me, I went back to ask Yvonne for
help, because she had already been outside." End of confession>
Nazife and Dan see Sigrid and yell at her.
She gets in and yells:"I have been waiting for nothing here!" Dan:"Yeah
me too!"
Cor arrives back at the library:"I just missed it at 30
metres."
The taxi gets stuck in traffic and loses lots of time. Nico arrives
back at the library again:"I think I was on time. I don't get it." Yvonne:"Did
you wait there?" Nico:"Yeah." Yvonne:"Was
there a cross." Nico:"No there was no cross." Yvonne:"You've
got to wait there!" Cor:"It's probably stuck in
traffic." So Nico runs back to the stop.
The three in the taxi see Doortje sitting on the side of the road. When
she gets in, she says:"I was just about to leave. I didn't know what
time it was. I was thinking 'Oh my God, how long am I waiting here!'"
And finally, Nico gets in too. They win 7.500 gilders. They have
a total of 50.000 gilders.
That evening they have another challenge. They need two people
who can be quiet and maybe even invisible. A man and a woman. Nico and Sigrid
want to go and the rest let them. Angela:"Sigrid?! You, quiet?!" Everyone
laughs. Nico and Sigrid have to change clothes. They are taken to
Kelvingrove Museum. There they have to steal a n
ecklace.
They get a picture of the necklace and Angela tells 
them
they will find more information in the safe. The key to the safe is number 652
and it's in the small room of the guard. The guard will walk his round for 20
minutes. Angela will keep waiting outside in the car for 20 minutes at the main
entrance. Then she will drive to the back at the emergency exit. If they manage
to get the necklace without being noticed, they win 5.000 gilders. If not,
they will lose 5.000 out of the kitty.
They start and walk to the small room, where Nico gets the key, while Sigrid
is on the lookout for the guard. They walk towards the safe. We hear exciting
X-files-like music with voices of children in the background.... Nico
opens the safe and finds a map which points out the location of the necklace.
They also read that the room is protected by laser beams. But they find a spray
can to make those laser visible. Some other information they read: if the alarm
goes off, they have exactly 5 minutes to escape through the emergency exit. Then
they go and search the necklace. They open a door which is very squeaky and
noisy. Then suddenly they hear a door banging. Sigrid and Nico
look at each other anxiously.
...
Quietly, they move along. Sigrid finds the emergency exit. They go
upstairs and find a door, but the key doesn't fit. Nico accidently (?)
drops the flashlight. Then they see the necklace in a room, but they can't open
the door. They have to go through another one. Finally they have the correct
door and they walk in the room. Nico starts spraying to see the laser
beams. Together, they crawl under and step over the beams until they reach the
necklace. Nico lifts the glass bowl and takes the necklace, but then
suddenly the lights go on and the alarm goes off. They run as fast as they can
to the fire exit. Nico runs much faster than Sigrid. They manage
to get out of the museum and into the car with 2 minutes to spare.
5.000 gilders are won.
There's 55.000 gilders in the kitty. The Mole has done some sabotaging. Why did the balloon challenge fail? The taxi challenge almost failed too! Cor and Yvonne missed the taxi and Nico returned to the library twice!
Suspicions
Sigrid:"The only ones I'm doubting about are Nico and Nazife.
They're both kind of stable persons and I think that's a good quality for the
Mole."
Nico:"Just like last time, I voted for Sigrid. With the
museum challenge she was very passive and just kept walking behind me. It
already was a surprise to me that she volunteered. Angela asked for a quiet
person... Flashback Angela:"Sigrid?!
You, quiet?!" There's a lot you can say
about Sigrid, but not that she's a quiet person."
Yvonne:"I've voted for Nico tonight. We tried several times
to reach the other group in the balloon challenge and Nico had the phone and we
constantly got an engaged tone. Flashback
Nico:"Nazife, can you hear me?
Naz... Nazife? Yeah?" Because I don't believe the network can
be so bad. I know it's bad, but it makes me think why we couldn't reach them the
first 10 minutes."
Cor:"I still think, after all that has happened and
everything that went wrong, Dan is the Mole. And maybe Nazife."
Nazife:"I've voted for Dan."
Doortje:"If I have to choose anyone, I go for Dan."
Dan:"The fact that many people suspect me... Who wants to
suspect me, let them, fine by me! Flashback

Suspicious in this episode
Doortje says
the wind was the cause of failing the balloon challenge.
The communication between Nico and Nazife doesn't go well.
Cor wants to know who didn't tell them where to drive to. Does he want to
make himself less suspicious in that way?
Yvonne and Cor both miss the taxi.
Nicoreturns to the library twice, because he says he can't find the last
stop.
