	Shopping In and Around Misawa Shopping in Misawa consist of small family type stores and some department size,comparable to a Target. A thirty minute drive is all it takes to go to Shimoda Mall which also has a theatre.A forty five minute drive takes you to Hachinohe Fantasy Dome mall and Toy-R-us. A personal favorite is the 100 yen store and the nine day market. The Nine day market appears at Miss Veedal plaza every day of the month that has a nine in it. You can find Flowers and produce here from the local farmers. Japan also has flea markets and recycle shops(same as thrift shop). Hachinohe has a flea market on Sunday's and it is across from the fish market.The Fish market is where you can get fresh fish and also has a few places to eat.
