When you think of Japan the food that comes to mind is sushi. Misawa has great places to eat sushi and also has a nice selection noodle shops as well as international restaurants. They have several restaurants that are in walking distance from the main gate. Most of Misawa's restaurants welcome the American patronage and do offer a menu in English. You do have to remember that smoking is allowed in these restaurants and it's best to arrive early to avoid a very smokey atmosphere. If you want a quick lunch the grocery stores have hot and cold meal boxes. Most restaurants are found by certain markers and surroundings, not addresses so don't be afraid to venture out.
