(commentary)  The Raiders kept the score close in our first game against the Rats, but The Rats mangaged to slobber their way to a 27 - 32 victory. The Rats jumped out to a quick lead in the second game and won it in 5 short rounds, 14 - 32.

Two fun games tonight....The ROCK started with a one point lead in "Edible Nuts and Seeds," and the point spread remained "closeasthis" until we pulled ahead 21-15 in "Spin Offs".  Our lead increased during "Woody Allen" (27-17) but the LOL gained on us 29-23 in a double "Medium Dog Breeds" and they held us at 29 while picking up three in "Rock and Roll Hall of Famers" (what? No Springsteen?)  We finally got that point - and a 34-31 win - in "People With Names That Start With V"  (sorry, no vrooomblonde....)

The LOLs started the second game with a 4-6 lead in "Battles" (I guess we're lovers, not fighters) but the Rock turned it around in the very next round, "More Bones".  We held the four point lead through "International Parks", "Christian Slater", and a grammar cop's favorite "Helping Verbs" and then really pulled ahead 28-22 on "Cheese" (we spent a lot of time with the Rats in the off season....)The game finally ended 33-25 with "Clint Eastwood"

Good game tonight, LOL.  See you in regular play!

(roll_call)  Sinsear, Glitzee, Lauren, Corwin, Ev, Wattle, Wendy, Buffylou and MissGiggles and Neider-meyer coming in for the second game.
(commentary)    We found out that no one knows a thing about sewing machines.....Lauren scored the first point of the evening for the Rats in the category of Things in the Kitchen....The Rats smell sweet despite living in the Sewer as we took the majority in Perfumes and Colognes.  We also did very well on Disneyland Attractions, with Miss G's Bounce House being my favorite team name of the night.  It was a well fought game with lots of laughing... (we'll all remember that PHish song now....)The Raiders are great opponents and we look forward to playing them again!

Two rather slow games between us LOLers and the Rockers on this Thursday night..or maybe the foot and a half of snow we got here just made it seem slow?

Oh well, either way we made 'em work for it.  Rockers held on to the lead all through the first game, and although we almost managed to pull off a tied game, they took the game on Famous People whose last name starts with V, for a 34-31 win.

Second game went kind of the same way, except we did have the lead after the first round, 6-4, but the Rockers took it back 8-7 and dragged us straight to the final score of 33-25 on Clint Eastwood movies.

We're lookin' forward to another great season.  No matter how many Rid tourneys they offer, this is THE Rid Players Club and there's nothing quite like it.

In game #1 (30-22) we started off slow and came within one point, with the category candybars. LOL..I wonder why??  We took the lead and never looked back with PA cities, even though the players from PA stunk that round,(myself & jfgordon).
Game #2 (30-32) was all Fourplays.  They took the lead in the first round and kept going. We did make them work for it,though.  We swept the category with woman's names that start with V.  We wiggled, giggled, jiggled and streaked, but the game was Fourplays from the start.
Game #3 (32-21)started off close and took the lead with the Anthony Hopkins category. We kept the lead throughout the whole game and WiGgLeD are was to victory!!  Great game Wonders!!  Congrats to Athena on MVP!
