Moonwalkers
Between the summer of 1969 and the end of 1972, 12 American's set foot on the surface of the moon.  In 1961, U.S. President John F. Kennedy promissed his people that not only would the United States beat the Russians to the moon, but they would do it by the end of the decade.  At the time, it was believed that a moon landing might be impossible but NASA was determined to achieve the president's goal.  On July 20, 1969, an American set foot on the moon.  He was followed by 11 other men who all helped NASA make the greatest achievement in manned space exploration.  These are those men.
