There are tradition vessels in which the drinks of Gor are served in. Though as with all things, it is as it pleases the free... If a free person wishes blackwine in a bowl, then serve them blackwine in a bowl! This page will give you a little more information on the drinks of Gor and what they are served in, as well as what they are served from. Again, please note, that this is subject to differences within each home. For example: paga is served in bowls traditionally, yet the Masters of Black Tarn Castle, for the most part, prefer to just have the bottle...

When a girl has trained, she asks the drink and has the one she is asking tell her what the drink is, what it is served from and what it is served in. Thus, that is how she will arrange this page!

Please note that the first four drinks are drinks in which a girl and her sisters have provided example serves for!

Ale
Gorean Ale is closer to a Honey Lager than to an ale or beer. It is deep in color and traditionally served chilled and in a tankard from a wooden cask.

Bazi tea
An herbal beverage (pekoe, green tea, from seeds imported from Earth); traditionally served hot and heavily sugared, drunk 3 tiny cups one at a time. The serve is very ceremonial and symbolic. The first cup represents the bitter fruits of life, the second the contentment of adulthood, and the third the enlightenment that comes with experience and old age.

Blackwine
(first, it is NOT wine!). Earth coffee from seeds imported from Earth and grown in Thentis; traditionally served with white and yellow sugars and bosk milk, in a small cup. It is a thick strong brew that is served steaming hot. NOTE: if they do not tell you, remember to ask if the one you serve takes their blackwine first or second slave.
Blackwine, first slave
If one wishes blackwine, first slave, they are saying they wish it with sugar and/or cream
Blackwine, second slave
This indicates they wish their blackwine black.

Chocolate
This is the same as the chocolate of Earth, made from the beans brought back on one of the Voyages of Acquisition. You may find chocolate in higher-class establishments. It is served hot and in a mug.

Falarian wine
The only thing known of this wine is that it is rare and expensive bottled wine. It is a safe bet to serve it in a goblet unless told otherwise, as well as chilled.

Fermented milk curds*tries desperately not to wrinkle her nose*
The fermented milk curds can be found in the cold room in a barrel. It is traditionally served in a bowl.

Ka-la-na
A sweet, strong red wine, made from the fruit of the ka-la-na trees. Some of the best comes from the city of Ar. This drink symbolizes romantic love. It is the drink that those entering a Free Companionship drink at the conclusion of the Free Companionship ceremony. It is served, chilled or room temperature, in a goblet. This wine, as most, is served from a bottle.

Kal-da
This beverage generally served hot from copper kettles kept on the fires. It is cheap Ka-la-na wine mixed with citrus juices, such as tospit and larma, and hot mulling spices (cinnamon and nutmeg). It is cheap and tastes good. It is served to a Master in a silver goblet and to a Mistress in a silver footed bowl.

Mead
This drink is made in Torvaldsland from fermented honey; thick and sweet. It is served traditionally heated and in a drinking horn.

Milk
This can be either bosk, verr or kaiila... It can be served in a mug or goblet, chilled or warmed.

Palm wine
The only thing known of this wine is that it is a delicious wine, imported from Schendi. This is best served as the one you serve wishes it. A girl has served it chilled, room temp and warmed in a goblet.

Sa-Tarna Paga
Usually referred to as paga. It is brewed from the grain of Sa-Tarna and is similar to Earthen whiskey. It symbolizes physical love (lust). *PERKS* It is served heated or room temperature, in a footed bowl.

Second wine or breeding wine
A sweet beverage, which counteracts the effects of slave wine, making a slave girl fertile.

Slave winen
A black, bitter beverage that acts as a contraceptive; its effect is almost instantaneous and lasts for well over a month. The main ingredient used to make slave wine is sip root. It is this root that makes the drink so bitter.

Sul-paga
This drink is a distilled alcoholic drink made from suls. It is similar to vodka. It's served heated or room temperature in a footed bowl. It also symbolizes physical love (lust). *squirms*

Ta-wine
A sweet dry white wine made from ta-grapes. Served room temperature or chilled and served in a goblet.

Turian Liqueur
A thick and sweet liqueur from Turia, served from a small bottle in tiny glasses

Turian wine
A syrupy, highly sweetened wine common in Turia. Served from a bottle, room temperature or chilled in a goblet.
