Part I This subject can get rather intense, and I would really rather not shun you away from the valuable contant that it has to offer simply because it seems boring or too complicated for you to understand. Please, bear with me. People ask subjective questions all the time, but don't really want to know the actual answer, such as, what is happiness? Happiness is what you make of your surroundings, but, to be more precise, hapiness is a state of mind. Happiness, sadness, fear, love, anger, hate, rage, and the entire slew of human emotions is nothing more and nothing less then a precise mixture of chemicals reacting in ways that we do not even begin to understand inside our brains. For instance, if you laugh, what is really going on there? It is your body reacting to visual and audiotory stimuli, which your mind interprets these electrons being sent from the hammer, the anvil, and the stirrup inside your ears and from the optic nerves connecting your eyes to your brain. These electrons cause a chemical reaction to occur in your mind which releases more electrons, and somehow (?) knows exactly where to send them. If your brain deems something as funny enough to make you laugh, it automatically sends electrons generated from the chemical reaction known as humor through the CNS (central neverous system) to your diaphram, which causes you to exhale what is known as a gale of wind, to produce laughter. Simultaneously, other electrons are automatically sent to your vocal chords, causing them to vibrate with the sound of your laughter. This process is automatic, and it is something of a mystery, but that does not mean that it is not an exact mystery. This is the first point, that everything down to our current state of mental wellbeing and possible mood as a result of such state is nothing more and nothing less than a finley maintained and well balanced series of chemical reactions that occur around the clock and without our permission. However, there is an exact amount of chemicals in each respective quantity that are causing these "thoughts" or "notions" to occur, despite the fact that it is none of our buisness what quantities are necessary for what "feelings." The precision nature of this subject along with it's innate mysterious aspects should not let us shun away from appreciating the truth of the concept, even if we don't really understand the exact nature of the beast of our mind. I'll let the scientists handle that nonsense. To be continued... |
