We're not talking about aged oak here...This Area of Operations deals with a fundamental part of self defense, the proverbial smoking gun. It is true that the good book doth say, "He that leadeth into captivity shall go into captivity: he that killeth with the sword must be killed with the sword. ( - Revelations 13:10). Good thing we arn't here to kill anybody. However, in the course of events of every man's life, there may come a time when you will be glad you had a weapon of some sort with you to dis assuage your enemy from trying to kill you with a sword (weapon), thus sealing his own fate. The good book also says "The slothful man roasteth not that which he took in hunting: but the substance of a diligent man is precious. ( - Proverbs 12:27). Don't bring a target to a knife fight. Instead, do a little homework, make a few purchases, practice a little (or alot), and enjoy the fellowship of our fellow Smoking Section Members while we do this, and if that day comes when you should be called upon to protect an innocent life, even possibly your own, you will be ready. Here in the (Smoking) barrel section, you can find reviews and statistics on weapons, guides for setting up and safley operating your own training ranges with minimal supplies, and profiles of member's weapons as well. Additionaly, yours truly will post videos here of my adventures in dealing with weapons for Uncle Sam. Enjoy, just hope that you will never have to use any of the skills you may gain regarding these topics.  And remember, guns DO kill people. Keep it on safe until you are ready to pull the trigger. |
