Pre-migration
services include:
- Guidance
and assistance for state-side sponsor to initiate application
for refugee status for family abroad
- Coordination
of information with HIAS
- Guidance,
follow-up, referrals, and/or advocacy for problem resolution with
the refugee application
- Information
and guidance to state-side sponsor of parolee
- Dissemination
of information about refugee immigration from the Department of
State, the Immigration and Naturalization Service, and HIAS to
the interested local community
