Lemon Introduction
The tree is a small evergreen that grows to 20 feet. It has serrated oval leaves, thorns and very fragrant flowers. This oil is taken
from the peel of unripe fruit in cold expression. Lemon stimulates white corpuscles that defend the body against infection.
In Spain and other European countries, Lemon Oil has been regarded as a cure-all for infectious diseases such as fever, malaria, and
typhoid. Counteracts acidity in the body; used for stomach upsets.
It supports the digestive, glandular, immune, and circulatory systems. It helps to maintain a healthy skin. Clean, light, and
refreshing, Lemon can be used topically to help ease the discomfort caused by warts and can be diffused to help purify the air and
soothe colds. Lemon is used for clearing the head during a cold or when you are mentally exhausted. It provides energy for an aching
body, boosts circulation and can be used for cellulite. This Lemon Essential Oil is distilled rather than cold-pressed, giving it an
indefinite shelf life.

Lemon Precautions
Lemon should NEVER be used directly on the skin. The oil should first be blended with a carrier oil (candles, specially blended massage and bath oils, bath products etc... are considered diluted). This oil should be used in moderation as although it is nontoxic it may cause some skin irritation, photosensitivity most notable in
expressed oil, or minimum concern in steam distilled oils. Lemon is a photosensitizer (increases the skins reaction to sunlight making
it more likely to burn) so it should not be used when exposed to sunlight or tanning beds. Be careful when using for babies, children and the elderly with consulting your physician.
With all essential oils, never use on or around newborns, if you are breastfeeding, have a breathing problem, taking medications, on a strict medical treatment plan by your doctor for an ongoing medical condition, consult your physician.
