3.0 SHADING

3.51 DRESS - soft colouring

We will colour the dress with a different technique here.

First pick a 100% opacity soft edged brush and follow the way I colour here ->

This technique needs some randomness. As you can see, the shading I've done doesn't look as tidy as the shading I did on the shirt.

For now, you only really need one tone of shading.

3.52 DRESS - soft colouring 2

Repeat 3.41 with a darker tone. This time, use a 20-50% opacity brush.

Now pick a lighter colour (lighter than the base colour) and put some high light on the address.

Try to mimic what I have done here.

3.53 DRESS - the final touch

This is basicaly the same as 3.42 and 3.41. You want the dress to look natural and artistic at the same time. Think of how dress folds in reality and use some imagination to make it look more artistic.

By now, this is what the pic should look like. You have basically finished the whole colouring process now. What is left is just some slight modification to the colour and get rids of stuff you don't want. Also add a background if you wish. For this pic, I recommend using light background. The skin tone will be more purple like with darker backgrounds.
